Kapitel 52: Crossing The Bridge

Xiao Shao nodded to his mother, then glanced at Xu Xiang again. Seeing her calm expression, the corners of his lips curled up slightly. Looking at the ancient wooden bridge in front of him, his face became serious. With a flick of the rein, the mule began to walk slowly.

The creaking sound of the board being stepped on by the mule made everyone's hearts tighten instantly. Standing behind, they saw Xiao Shao carefully driving the mule cart across the bridge. Every time they saw part of the wooden plank falling into the deep ravine, their hearts sank.

After a long time, the mule cart finally crossed the bridge safely. Seeing Xiao Shao getting off the mule cart, the members of the Xiao family breathed a sigh of relief. Xiao Shao waved his hand and signaled Xiao Han to start crossing the bridge.
