Kapitel 97: Looks Like He's Up to Something

Carter Wilford spent his time working harder than usual. He had not contacted Nathan in a long time, even ignoring phone calls and e-mails from Alex Ross, his father-in-law. He was even happier when he landed some new clients, and he was so immersed in the case of a mass lawsuit by models against a major cosmetics brand that some of his colleagues teased him about it.

  Some of her colleagues teased him about the lawsuit. They said Carter must really enjoy being surrounded by his beautiful clients. He just laughed. All the women were above average in beauty, but the only one on his mind was Bella.

  He had no intention of forgetting Bella. He didn't want to back down from his battle to win her back. He did not want to sign a marriage annulment document. Right now he is just stepping back for a while to find another way. He did not want to embarrass himself anymore like when he rushed to fly to Fort Worth.
