Nitish drank 7 bottles of booze and went into a trance and suddenly his memories began to flow.
When Nitish was born, he was nicknamed sunny after the Cricketing Legend Sunil Gavaskar.
His father hoped that Nitish would become the successful cricketer that he once tried to become.
Nitish didn't let his father down, he started playing cricket right from the young age of 4, His father was adamant about making Nitish a World Class Fast bowling all-rounder whom Team India is lacking. If he was at least above average, then he would easily make it to the Indian Team.
Nitish was bowling at the speed of 80 Kph at the age of 14 which is quite phenomenal, and also he was playing a wide variety range of roles for his team from anchoring the innings to Power hitting in the death overs.
[death overs are usually the last 5 overs in 50 over and 20 over cricket formats)
Many would see the effort Nitish is putting on and expect him to soon represent India U19.
But fate has other plans. It takes just a bad incident or a person to completely disturb a right mind. For Nitish It became a Curse, his eyesight became so bad suddenly that he had to put on eyeglasses all the time. For Fast Bowlers like him, it is really a curse, then he tried to convince the doctors to operate on his eyes, but as he is only 14, they had no choice but to reject his ideas as it might have become too complicated for them.
That was the time, two people got into a bad mental state. Nitish's Father and Nitish himself. Every time Nitish tried to play cricket he had difficulty batting too, as he had to put on a helmet that limits his vision.
Just like adding fuel to fire, Nitish got some sort of respiratory problems which made him breathe heavily even after a slight amount of exercise. He had no choice but to give up, Nitish's Father was hurt so much that he blamed himself for forcing Nitish into cricket. And Nitish was sad too, as he was unable to fulfill his father's dream. Now Nitish has no choice but to accept fate and move on. So like any other Indian teenager, he started Preparing for JEE. The once-known Child Prodigy is no more, he's just a normal kid who is studying hard to get into an engineering college.
10 years have passed. Nitish would feel bad about seeing people play cricket and not inviting him, He thought of playing cricket again, but his respiratory disease always won the fight against him.
Nitish was 25 now and was working as an IT Professional Consultant which was the far worse job for someone who aspired to become a cricketer. He is now at the age of Marriage but he is somewhat more inclined to cricket. He was working hard to get into a kind of work that revolves around cricket.
It was a fine day and Nitish was normally doing his own work, suddenly he got an email from the company that summarizes that they would be playing a friendly match with some British company with whom we were merging. He was supposed to lead the team as he was the only one with knowledge of cricket. He was asked to train and select the 11 best players from the company who could play and yeah, he was not included in Match he just need to come up with a strategy to beat the opponent's team. He was very happy that at least I can share my knowledge with the people.
---Nitish POV----
I came up with 11 players who were fit and can play the match without any difficulties, For me, staying fit is the first step toward the success of any sportsperson. I came up with a few strategic points which, of course, these dumbasses who watch cricket highlights were not aware of.
Everyone wants to bat first and No one wanted to bowl as it is too tiresome, and the worst thing is that these guys only want to bowl spin on a flat pitch which was basically asking the batsman to hit a boundary. So I tried to convince them, but these idiots won't listen. So I let these Idiots do as they wish. And explained my strategic points to play some shots and they were shocked as they listened to my "lecture", I knew what they were thinking they were wondering how many wide ranges of shots you can play by just changing your posture. I was really satisfied with the looks on their face.
On the day of the Match:
Everyone was excited, particularly me who is entering a cricket ground after a long period of time and then I looked at the face of these idiots and my excitement completely died. Luckily the guy who was supposed to lead the Team got a panic attack after seeing the British team playing in nets they were fast bowlers and hard hitters, and I got a chance to lead the team while adjusting my spectacles I entered the field for the toss.
