Kapitel 23: Chapter Twenty Three
”I know right? Now I know the value of standing up for yourself, I really really enjoyed myself” Ruby replied
” I know, it always feels good to put bitches in their places but you know what? Please be careful Ruby, I have a feeling something unkind will happen soon I just have a premonition” Janet said
*You haven’t said that before, and now that you’re saying it, it’s giving me the chills” Ruby said
”I didn’t say it for you to be scared, I said it so you’ll be careful because I don’t want to lose you” Janet said and Ruby's heart skipped a beat.
” What are you talking about? You did not have a bad dream about me did you? because It’s scary the way you’re talking” Ruby said
”Hey nothing will happen and I didn’t have any bad dream but trust me you’ll be fine. I love you ” Janet said with a wide smile and pecked her before leaving
She actually just lied about not having a dream but she actually had one bad dream about Ruby last night. She dreamt that Ruby was shot by Madam Sylvia and she died. The dream scared the hell out of her that she couldn’t sleep till dawn and she has been scared since then.
“I don’t want anything to happen to her” she thought as she walked to her office and Ruby sat after Janet left.
Janet was so serious while telling her to be careful. She wasn't joking when she told her she has an intuition that something bad will happen and she’s somehow scared throughout that day.
In the Evening, Madam Sylvia paced round her living room restlessly. Seeing Ruby alive was becoming a burden and seeing her in the Empire also appears as a great challenge to her and to crown it all her son claimed to be in love with her and it was really annoying.
She smoked angrily untill her friend Hilda came in and dropped her bag on the couch. She took the cigarette from Sylvia and smoked too
“So what’s bothering my friend?” She asked after a puff but
Sylvia took her wine and sipped before speaking
”Remember that incident I told you about twelve years ago?” Sylvia asked
”Sure” Hilda replied
”Ruby is the daughter of the couple, and you’re aware of how disturbing it can be” she replied
”Oh really? then just eliminate her, that’s the best, at least it’ll stop you from getting worry wrinkles, get rid of the weed already Brenda, stop thinking unnecessarily, her being alive is hindering a lot of things, it’s hindering my daughter from having her boyfriend back, it’s hindering me from having rest of mind cos Valerie always disturbs me, it’s hindering you from having rest of mind too, that girl doesn’t deserve to live” Hilda said.
She brought her mouth close to Sylvia's ear
*Kill her, that’s the only solution” Hilda said
”I get that, and I’ll have to do it myself” Sylvia replied
”Sure, as long as she’ll die” Hilda replied
At night in Julius house, Janet complained to Julius about how uneasy she felt about the whole Ruby's situation.
“I’m sad” Janet said, lying on Julius chest on the bed
“Why?” Julius asked, arranging her hair slowly
“I had a bad dream about Ruby, and I’m scared” she said
“You believe in dreams? Isn’t that a little bit superstitious?” He asked and she looked at him
”No, I know what I’m talking about, the first time I had a bad dream was that my parents died, and it came to pass, and now I had a dream that Madam Sylvia shot Ruby. Janet said and Julius sat up
“You mean Madam Sylvia shot Ruby?” Julius asked and Janet nodded positively.
“May God forbid evil” he said looking worried as well
”But I just hope nothing bad happens, I don’t want to lose Ruby” Janet said sadly and but Julius pulled her back to his chest and gently stroked her hair
“Let’s hope for the best ok?” He said kissing her hair.
“Sure” Janet replied, snuggling closer.
“Are you sure you’re ready for the surprise I’m talking about?” Richard asked as he prepared to open the dish he made but
Ruby grabbed the spoon and dipped it in her mouth in anticipation
“Sure” she replied then he opened it and her eyes widened
“Chinesse soup" Ruby screamed excitedly because it was a delicacy she has always wanted to try
*OMG, My love” She gushed
”Do you like it?” He asked
”No I love it, but I love you more Darling. I can’t ever love you less, it’ll keep multiplying give me a kiss” Ruby said and he kissed her deeply for a while before breaking it
“I’ll feed you” he said
“No let’s eat together” she replied
“But I really want to feed you” he said sitting beside her
“As much as I want that, I also want you to eat with me so you'll have to” Ruby replied
”As you wish” he said and took his spoon.
She ate with much appetite for a while before dropping the spoon suddenly
“What happened?” He asked
“Janet said she’s having a hunch that something unkind is happening soon and it’s kind of scary” she said but he faced her properly and took her hands
“Look baby, they’re superstitions and you can’t believe it, don’t let it ruin your mood” he said
”As much as I want to believe that, i also can’t get her words off my head, she hasn’t spoken like that before so it’s somehow…
“Shhhh… Ruby please” Richard said as she Inhaled softly and looked away. He held her cheeks and made her face him, placing a soft kiss on her lips and she smiled
“Yeah, that’s what I want to see, your smile and don’t you dare worry again” he said and she nodded
” And by the way, your eyeballs are unusually white, are you ok?” He asked and she nodded
”Sure, maybe because it’s somehow cold tonight” she replied and he immediately took off his pullover and covered her with it
“This reminds me of that night in your car, when you protected me and took care of me throughout the night” she said with a smile
” I know right? and anytime I enter that particular car, I always have a deja Vu feeling, and you know what? That car became my best since then” he said
”I just blushed, thanks for everything boss” she said with a silly smile
” That outdated name again” he chuckled
“I love you Richie but wait, what will you do if I leave you let’s say for a year without saying goodbye?” Ruby asked
”Why would you ask such a question?” He said
”It’s just assumption” she replied
”Then stop assuming because it’ll be disastrous” he said seriously and pulled her into a hug
” Don’t leave me Ruby”
“No way, it’s always and forever” she replied, hugging him back

Next day**
Valerie got to Ruby's desk to submit a file from the chairwoman but she wasn't around so she decided to take it into Richard's office by herself.
When she opened the door and went in, she saw him sleeping on his chair then she gently closed the door and came in as calm as possible
She dropped the files on his table and walked up to him, making sure to walk slowly on her heels in order not to attract noise.
She successfully got to him and scanned his handsome sleeping face
“So this is what Ruby wants to steal from me, can I ever let him go? ”She thought looking at him lustfully and her eyes went to his trousers then she smiled
Even though Albert's rod makes her feel better than his, but right now, she can’t help but crave for it and wished to be fucked by him, right there.
She started bringing her hands down to his belt but Immediately her hand touched his belt, his eyes opened and he grabbed her hand
“What do you think you’re doing?” He asked, holding her hand tight
“I’m just....." Valerie stammered
”You want to check how big it has grown, like it’s a hen you own?” He said still holding her hand and he squeezed it
”You’re hurting me" she cried in pain.
“The next time this happens I’ll bite you trust me. Now get out of my office” Richard said and threw off her hand while she staggered and fell.
She stood and hurriedly left the office and Ruby came in immediately
“What was that bitch doing here?” She asked, coming straight to him
”You can’t believe she tried to unbolt my belt while I was sleeping, that wench” he said, holding Ruby by the waist and
Ruby laughed
“So my candles weren't enough to satisfy her” she said
“Candles?”
”I got her candles to use instead of running after you” she replied biting her lip
”You made a huge mistake sweetheart, candles are too small for her hole, Albert fucked her and trust me his rod is one of a kind so she’ll have a pretty big hole, you should have gotten like four cucumbers, packed together” Richard said and Ruby Started laughing
”You’re a pervert” she said
“Well aren’t we?” He replied
“Whatever” she replied, feeling his hand on her butt as he squeezed it gently before bending over to her chest and kissed her breast.
“Richard” she called but he kissed her instantly
Albert entered the store not far from the company to get packs of his favorite cigarette. He didn’t take it yesterday and now he’s craving for it so he had to buy because he ran out of it.
He picked from the rack and he noticed a girl not far from him
taking a pack of biscuit and tucked it in her belly, making her look like a pregnant woman after covering it with her stuffy blouse
She immediately saw Albert looking at her then she placed her finger between her lips indicating he shouldn’t expose her.
She then picked a razor blade and went to the counter to pay
“You should have sent someone else, why will you come all the way to a store just to get a razor when you’re heavily pregnant” the attendant said
”I’m ok, you don’t have to worry” she replied, holding her sides like a real pregnant woman
“No need to pay for the blade, you can go” the attendant said.
“Thanks a lot” she replied and left the store and Albert laughed
“So there are still con artists as smart as this” he thought before leaving the store but he couldn't find her outside again
“Is she gone already?” He thought untill someone suddenly pulled his hand, taking him to the car lot then he saw that it was her.
Now he scanned her properly and she had a calm look, one that won’t make you detect easily that she could actually steal and
she’s now wearing a white shirt over jean trousers, so the stuffed blouse she was wearing earlier was just in disguise
“Stop staring like you’ll eat me” she said rolling her eyes at him
”How much did you steal?” He asked
“That biscuit you saw me taking was the last, I’ve actually taken a juice, and another biscuit before you saw me” she said, pointing at her backpack
”Is stealing really the best?” He asked.
“Don’t start advising, I hate advises ok? or else I’ll smash your head and thanks for helping anyways” she said and started walking away
” What’s your name?” He asked and She looked back
“Why do you want to know? I don’t tell any random stranger my name” she replied and started walking away again but she looked back after a while.
“Lovina” she said and entered a corner after using her face cap
“Lovina” Blake said and when he remembered how she dressed like a pregnant woman in there and he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Valerie threw herself on her chair immediately she got to her office
"This is crazy I swear" she said
"He's really really into her and has really forgotten about me, he has really made her the queen of his heart that my touch is now what he doesn't want" she thought
"Ruby for doing this to me, I hope you die in the hands of Madam Sylvia soon, I hope you just leave the surface of the earth, I hope you dissappear" Valerie ranted banging her fist on the table and Madam Sylvia came out of her office and Valerie stood.
"You must be annoyed, but don't worry daughter in-law, Richard is becoming yours tommorow, I assure you in the surest way ever, just heave a sigh of relief and keep hoping for tommorow, Ruby won't be alive again by this time tommorow" she said and
Valerie's hope became high
"Really?"
"Trust me and stop bothering yourself unnecessarily" Madam Sylvia replied with a smile
" I'm so grateful ma, having him back is all I've ever wanted" Valerie said with a big smile
"And that dream will come to pass tommorow, I'm off work, you can go home too" Madam Sylvia said walking out of the office
"Yes" Valerie said gladly as she danced around in excitement

"Ruby you should go to the hospital tomorrow morning and run a test, it's not funny seeing you sleeping frequently and I've been telling you that your eyeballs are unusually white and it's not cold today but it's still white" Richard complained, stroking Ruby's hair as she lay on the couch with her head on his laps
"I'm really really fine Honey" she said.
"I'm tired of hearing that, go for test tomorrow because it might be malaria" he said
" Richard" Ruby called but he interrupted
"I don't want to hear another excuse" he said blocking his ears with his hands
"Ok, I'll go to the hospital tomorrow. Are you happy now?" she asked and he smiled kissing her forehead
"Good girl" he said
"I'm not a girl, I'm a lady" she replied
"Ok good lady" he said and they both laughed out loud
"So let's watch a movie while eating popcorn, what do you think?" He said but there was no reply so he had to look at her and saw that she was already sleeping
"Just what I was talking about" he said before kissing her lips in her sleeping state. He carried her in his arms and took her upstairs, dropped her on the bed and covered her before sleeping next to her.
She turned her sleeping face to him and he smiled
"Beauty" he said and touched her cheeks
"I hope nothing happens to us" he said in a whisper.
That same night, Albert sat alone at a bar and drinking quietly as some strippers were busy stripping away they bodies on the stage.
Initially he has been feasting his eyes on them but it seems since Richard pardoned him, he began to loose interest in being a casanova and running after ladies.
