Kapitel 332: Chapter 332 THE MAID 1
While Hazel went in to check on her kids and read them a bedtime story, Alex had assembled all of his workers in the courtyard. It was obvious everything that happened to his wife was no coincidence or mistake. Someone had planned to hurt her, and that person almost succeeded if he hadn't arrived.
He knew somehow Avery was involved in this, she's sworn to hurt him in a place where it hurts the most. She knew hurting him physically wouldn't cause more damage, so she decided to hurt his family. "Who pushed my wife down the stairs." Alex stared into the eyes of each and every one of them. He's been in the game long enough to detect who was lying or not, but no one here showed any sign of lying, and neither were they afraid.
"Is this all of the maids?" He asked when he couldn't find what he was looking for. They were all scared, they all shivered from his words. It's the first time their boss was addressing them personally, he usually just told Gaius everything he wanted them to do and go his way.
They all wondered who must have tried to hurt their pregnant Madam, not only that but tried to kill her. That person must really have a death wish, cause if there's one thing they know about their boss, he doesn't play with his family. At least they've seen it countless times. They've heated it countless times.
With how everything was before, they never thought their boss and Madam's toxic love would last longer, but it did. And they're both expecting their third child. They all wish to be here to welcome the fourth baby and take care of the child like the others. "O... One person is not here." Gauis stuttered and Alex raised a brow.
"Who's that?" Alex asked, "The new maid we hired last month in replacement of another that died." He raised a brow again at Gaius's words. He had no idea a maid died, even if their contract with him was to work here forever cause at this point, they knew more than they were supposed to. That's one of the reasons he filtered his maids before leaving a few in the mansion so that a lot of secrets would not be out there.
Just as Gaius spoke, she rushed in through the back and Alex repeated his question, this time his eyes were on her, "Who pushed my wife from the stairs?" At this moment, he regretted why he turned down the idea of putting a security camera around the mansion and locking the camera room for only his access. Maybe he should do that, rather than using these old lame tactics anymore.
The girl in black wavy hair gave off the sign he was searching for. Her body vibrated, turning her gaze back and forth as she stared at everyone avoiding his deadly stare. He parted his lips to speak but before he could, "She did it, I saw her." She pushed a girl forward only for Alex to see her vibrating profusely. "I'm so sorry sir, I just didn't know how to say it, but since everyone here is going to be in trouble, I just had to tell..." Her words were cut short by the bullet hole through her hair.
"On no account should you hire anyone Gaius without my permission, stupid son of a b**ch." Alex turned around placing the gun back into his pocket. "Take care of that thing, she should be grateful I gave her an easy way to hell." His entire body turned hot, he was furious for giving her an easy death as he stepped back into the mansion.
It would have been prolonged if his wife and children were not in the mansion. Just when he thought his sister would do nothing and he would focus on those other drug Lords hunting after him now, she had to pull this careless trick. Blood would spill once again in their family if anything happens to his family. Now more than ever his family needs him, and he didn't think he'd be going on a business trip anytime soon.
Alex picked up his phone and called Ben his P.A, it was time to assemble his most trusted men for the underground war about to begin. The war of mighty Mafia men, it's time he set another standard again. It's time he set another boundary and earn his respect again. It seems they've all forgotten cause he's slacked a little.
He had warned his father and father-in-law to put their family in order, if possible go out on a long vacation till everything's settled. As for his family, he's never letting them out of his sight one bit.
"Where have you been babe?" She called him babe this time, which means he's on her good side. "Did you miss me already?" He smiled staring at the woman already in his shirt. Now he thought of it, he wondered why he was upset the first time they met when she looks damn sexy in his shirt. "That doesn't explain where you went to." She said dragging him from his fantasies.
"I went out to make a call." "Let's go to bed it's late, the kids would be sleeping with us tonight." She gave her orders like she always does, even if she says it in the sweetest way, and all he has to do is follow.
"I will, first, I have to show you something it's important." Alex picked her up in bridal style and took her to the ground floor, "What are we doing here Alex?" He placed her on the floor before squatting to open the rogue covering a corner of the floor in their wine cellar. Hazel watched him open a wooden door she never knew existed with curious eyes. She wondered what was in there, one thing she hasn't learned to tame was her curiosity, it always got the best of her.
He took her hands in his and led her into the opening carefully, only then did she discover it was an underground house on its own. It was a different world entirely, different from the rest up there. It looked like an old abandoned yet modernized mansion with a little bit of ancient deco. She loved it, she loved everything in the mansion. What surprised her was, that no matter how old it appeared to be, it was spotless. Every damn thing in the house shone beautifully.
"This is where I grew up, it used to be up there until I buried it and built my mansion on it." She heard Alex say suddenly. Her eyes glittered, she's always wondered what their mansion looked like when he was a kid. "It's beautiful Alex." She whispered moving a bit further turning her gaze to all angles. It's an old memory he buried, not just mentally but physically.
But why was he showing this to her??
