"I'm sorry for whatever happened back there." Alex held me from behind while lying beside me. He seemed to have calmed down a bit cause his words were no longer short and straightforward. I was scared to death earlier when he brought out his weapon and had to beg him to stop. Maybe Alex wouldn't have let her go, 'cause by the look of the things he was willing to shoot his mo...
I shouldn't even think about it. My body shivered from the thought, I've never seen Alex in such a mood before. He didn't look like the man I know, he was someone else at that point, someone I wouldn't want to meet. Though we've had a serious fight before where he had to hit me most of the time, he still didn't appear as dangerous as he was tonight.
But there were many things on my mind at once, mother's words to me when we had to carry the kids from their mansion earlier, or the most disturbing, Beverly coming back again to continue from where she stopped.
Right now not only was our family in danger my marriage was.
It's exceptionally obvious she still liked Alex from the way she gaped at him. I didn't think it was something to hide.
I felt super jealous and insecure seeing her once again, I clearly didn't know how to handle it. I just wasn't prepared for it, who knew they'd accept her back in again after the pain she and Aunt Amelia caused us? After everything, they did to me and the kids. Thinking about it now brought a certain kind of anger in my heart, I loathe her more than anything.
Or maybe I'm only overthinking things, maybe, just maybe this once, Alex is wrong about what he saw.
Maybe he didn't see clearly and like she stated maybe it was her old kerchief. But did great-grandma really love her to always hold her kerchief even to her death? There were just so many questions and it's annoying their answers were all maybes.
"Hmm, just don't sit next to me if you're going to bring out that weapon I'm terrified by it." I could feel him sinking his head deeper into my back as his hot breath grazed my skin making me shiver.
"Do you still love her Alex?" I felt the need to ask, I just wanted to be sure of his answer, to get at least an answer to the unending questions in my head. I was really jealous and couldn't help it, I just didn't know how to hide my emotions anymore when it comes to him. "What are you talking about?"
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about, it's a simple question."
"You want me to be honest about it?" I gave no response to his question. "I think you're jealous babe, you're jealous aren't you?" He chuckled.
"No, I'm not." I turned around to meet his gaze, "Just feeling the same way you feel when other men look at me, you said it's not jealousy when I ask." He smiled. "I love you and you alone Hazel, just you and no one else."
"W... Where you really going to shoot her when you pointed that thing at her?" I didn't know why I asked this but it was a reflection of what I felt inside. Fear. I know I hated that witch to the last part of me, I don't want her here, maybe somewhere else, just somewhere far away but definitely not here. But she was family, she was my cousin no matter what.
"No, not at least in front of you, that's why I didn't pull the trigger," Alex said. I was happy he was being honest this time, but killing her is not right, I just didn't want him getting his hands stained the more. "You promised me not to kill her with your hands and let the law decide."
"So you want me to sell her off?" He asked pulling me closer to only leave sweet kisses on my collarbone. Alex was trying to distract me again, I tried to push him off me but just wasn't strong enough, plus my hormones loved his actions.
"N... No." I managed to say distracting myself from his actions. "You have to be specific with your requests sweetheart. I make the law order here, how I'm I meant to follow the law again?"
"Alex let me go, you're bad influence!!" He chuckled with his grip tightening more as he embraced me further to himself. There was no escape for me, so I just let him have his way.
.
.
The next day came by and the next and the next after that and another till a month passed by, and our lives were back to normal. Alex didn't talk about his family nor did I, we were just engrossed in the preparation of great grandma's funeral.
The triplets went on a vacation with my parents to Europe for almost a month now.
It's been hard living without them, I miss them a lot, their fights, cries, laughs, tiny giggles. I wish nothing but to see them and kiss their full cheeks. To pat their butt cheeks with powder when bathing them so they laugh and giggle as always. I'm home alone as always walking around the huge mansion as part of my exercise routine since Phill said I needed it more than anything.
My tummy was getting larger with every passing week, it wasn't so noticeable like the triplets but it couldn't hide anymore. The stress and struggles attached to being pregnant were back as my baby rejected almost all the food I usually eat. The pain at times was unbearable giving I as well as Alex sleepless nights. He's made me visit Phill more than twice a week and we end up getting the same answer.
"It's normal for a pregnant woman to feel that way."
Stepping back into the mansion I saw a large white box on the table and some flowers. I wondered who must have sent it, Alex usually doesn't like sending gifts, he'd rather give them to me in person than send them over. "Madam, this gift was sent this afternoon from an unknown person. What should we do with it, keep it or throw it out?" Gaius said stepping out of the kitchen.
"Leave it there till Alex gets back." I wouldn't just throw them out, maybe he decided to change his way this time and send them home. As if he could read my thoughts he called, "Baby." Is my new favorite name for Alex, his mother's journal seemed to be working perfectly cause her son has been on my command since I practiced what was written in the book.
"Did you receive my gift?" He asked. "Which one? The box or the flowers?" I teased to hear him chuckle. "I don't know, but I hope the box contains good lingerie to put you to sleep tonight." I could feel my heart skip at his words as my cheek felt warm. I knew it was a terrible idea trying to tease this man, he always wins in this kind of game.
I quickly ended the call and headed back to the lounge to check the content of the box. Alex has finally made me curious, the one feeling I couldn't always tame down. I opened it to see its content, it was a purple dress. "Do you like it?" I heard Alex's voice from behind and turn around only to see him behind me.
"Alex." "Hmm, do you like it? Don't blush." He pulled my hands from my face to see it clearly. I had no idea how red I turned till it extended to my hands. Alex was making me feel weird, I could feel my body burning from his stare. "Come on don't bite that lips like that." He bit his staring at my lips, my toes curled from the intensity in the room.
Alex gulped before rating his lips to speak again, "We have a family meeting tonight at a restaurant. Sorry I didn't inform you in time." He held me to himself pressing his lips against mine. We have been so consumed by each other that we forgot we weren't living alone.
I didn't like the idea of another family meeting, but I knew it was cause of the upcoming burial. I wasn't ready for another drama but I had to stay by Alex's side, so far he has listened and not tried to hurt anyone. "I want to kiss you more sweetheart." I stared at Alex with wide eyes becoming more aware of my surrounding.
"We could continue in the bedroom." I whispered to him, "Hmm." Alex placed both his hands by my side trapping me between himself and the table. There was no escape for me neither did he care if anyone was watching. He brought his head closer to mine parting his lips a bit and I parted mine to receive him closing my eyes.
I felt his soft lips on mine as his tongue dived further into my mouth till it touched mine. My hands were placed on his shoulder when our kiss got intense, I was lost in his arms feeling his mouth moving gently against mine. "Ah." A soft moan left my lips, I nudged his head further to mine dominating the kiss which forced him to pull out. We both were panting as we stared into each other's eyes, "I asked for a short kiss sweetheart, my G** when did you get this naughty?" He chuckled leaving me behind...
.
"Beverly darling are you ready? We need to start leaving." Magaret called her. Since her father and family have disowned her according to her words to the Wilsons, Magaret has decided to take the girl as her own. She loved Beverly more than anything and anyone, she loved her like her grandchild. Her forever option for a daughter-in-law.
Beverly still couldn't tell how Alex found her kerchief with that woman. Her return would have been perfect if that stupid old fool didn't die with him, Alex will never believe her especially after Chan gave her off by calling to tell her there was a price on her head. Maybe he didn't believe the kerchief yet but believed it when Chan had informed her.
She thought she could play them all, forgetting Alex has eyes everywhere. Just like Chan warned, he's a cunning man and just gets to find things out naturally. "Yes, grandma I'm almost done."
Being nice is just, for now, she couldn't wait to take her revenge on these people, to make them feel pain one after another. To destroy everything they own, everything they've ever worked for. Make them pay for killing her mother, she died in their hands. She died from torture, she died cause of everything Alex did to her.
Beverly strode out of her room in a little black dress, her long blonde hair has been cut into bob just hanging on her shoulders. She looked so beautiful and elegant just like her cousin, after all, there was some resemblance when it came to their looks. They all left the general Wilson's mansion for the restaurant, she couldn't wait for the next drama to unfold tonight from her presence at the dinner.
Stepping into the restaurant with the family they trudged into their arranged sector to see Carie and Lukas already present in the room awaiting their arrival. "Carie." "Beverly," Carie said plainly before greeting her parents and sister. It wasn't surprising the cold shoulder both women gave to each other, Carie has never liked Beverly neither has Beverly to her.
It wasn't long did Hazel and Alex walk in...
