Alex held my waist, pulling me to himself as we stepped in with his attorney behind us. "The Wilson's are here to see you, sir." The butler announced before we stepped in. My entire family members were present in the lounge including faces I'd never seen in my life.
They seem to be engrossed in an argument or important discussion. "My baby." Mum rushed in for a hug. I returned the hug, but we didn't hug too tightly as usual, "You look so good." Mother complimented, I smiled, it's all because of the man standing next to me. "Thank you."
I sauntered towards dad who kept glaring at Alex "Daddy." I greeted trying to distract his attention from Alex, I really didn't know Alex's aim when he said he was going to come with me knowing the entire Huxley family hated the Wilsons. The last thing I wanted was quarrels between both men.
I really can't get why they hated each other even before meeting physically. Alex is a stubborn man and even if I've told him to make peace with Dad, he doesn't listen, saying he did nothing wrong to apologize to anyone.
"Hazel, how are you? Are you hurt anywhere." Dad's eyes swooped around me, for the briefest moment before returning them to its formal position, Alex. At this point I gave up, whatever was about to happen could happen, I don't care anymore.
"What are you doing here Mr. Wilson, you're a band from my Mansion and family," Dad said firmly. "I wasn't going to spend much time here, Hazel's bridal shower's tonight and you're all invited." Alex's tone was firm too but much calmer than dads. Everyone in the room felt tensed, including me, it was like the angel of silence passed by.
"The restriction order has been called off, can we leave now Hazel?" Alex added. "I want to talk to you Hazel, right now," Father said, pushing me to the center. I couldn't reject Alex, neither could I reject Father. "I'll see you in the car in five babes." I pleaded with my eyes for Alex to nod in agreement. I watch him leave the mansion in disappointment.
.
I held the rays on the balcony, staring at the trees. I wondered how Alex felt about me rejecting him before my family members, I hope he understands I just need to clear things up with Dad. I was tired of this constant, he can't hate the man I love, the man I'm having kids for.
"I tried getting you off that man's hands, but it's not possible. Did you sign those contracts willingly or not?" "That's not necessary dad, I'm married to Alex, I don't want to leave him." Dad narrowed his eyes at me, in an intimidating manner, but I refused to be intimidated. It was high time I stopped playing and just tell them the truth.
"What are you saying?" He watched "I love Alex, I've always done." "Stop spilling nonsense, Hazel." He stroked the ray with his palm, "It seems you've been possessed by something. What did he tell he tell you to brainwash you?"
"Alex did nothing to me, it's me, it's all me, I love him. You didn't want to listen when I tried to explain." "You're in love with a man who did those terrible things to you?" His voice was raised at me, causing me to tear up, I don't know why I was feeling this way lately. Crying over little things getting upset for nothing.
"I don't care about that, I love him and that's all, Couples get to fight and quarrel, it's being able to handle your disagreement that matters. Alex has apologized to me countless times and more, he's suffered a lot and me too. It was hell being away from him, I tried I......" I paused
I'm having three kids with Alex for crying out loud, they don't expect me to keep my children away from their father or give them another father when they already have one. "It is obvious you pick that man over your family, we'll all attend your bridal shower, that doesn't mean I have accepted that man yet."
"Do what makes you happy love, anytime you get hurt remember you have a family." Was dad giving me his blessings? "That'll never happen again I promise. Thank you dad." I hugged him kissing his cheek.
David had to give up arguing with her, his daughter is an adult, she's old enough to know what she wants beside the man in question is the father of his grandchildren. His stubborn Hazel, just when he thought he found his daughter and was ready to spend the time they couldn't spend together, she was already taken by another man and a bad one at that.
David loves his daughter, seeing Alex come here to invite them to the bridal shower was respecting the family, the man didn't seem like a troublesome person, but he just couldn't like the man no matter how hard he tried. For year's the Huxleys and the Wilson's have been sworn enemies, who would believe their grandchildren would unit the family even if they were yet to be united.
If Hazel and Alex failed to unit them, his grandchildren definitely will. He couldn't wait to lay his hands on those adorable cuties when they come out finally. His little daughter is now a mother.
.
I ambled through the hallways heading for the lounge to bid mum and dad a goodbye before leaving. I was scared I've taken longer than I'm supposed to, cause Alex was waiting in the car. "Hazel." I heard a familiar voice from behind and I turned around. "Falcon? You're still here?"
"I was waiting for you, I wanted to see you before leaving." He said calmly walking up to me, "You seem fine and more beautiful yourself." I nodded at his words. Our conversation felt a bit awkward, maybe because the bond we once had was gone.
"The last time we saw each..." "Yes that is settled now, I'm back with Alex and I don't think I'll be leaving him again."
"That's all I wanted to know, I'm happy for you." I nodded at his words. "Thanks..., well, I have to go now." At my words I left the hallway.
