Kapitel 73: Chapter 72 Engagement Party 1
The week went pretty fast, and as Alex did say previously, he helped me learn to walk again. Phil came to the mansion for regular check-up as instructed by Alex and finally declared that I was fine and free from any further health threats. But Alex was not satisfied, he still insisted that i had to go for checkup at least once in a month.
I must say my little dangerous act was actually a curse and a blessing. I got punished for trying to end my life and at the same time, I and Alex finally learnt to understand each other on some terms. But we still fought alot, that can never change.
"Finally back to this house, I hope you stay this time Alex!" We arrived at the entrance of Black's Family mansion. Mother had been disturbing us for a full week now, cause she hasn't heard from both of us for more than two months. And also, she was worried cause of the way Alex dragged me out of the farm house that day.
Alex stopped the car at the entrance of the mansion, and as usual Leonard and his maids were out to welcome us in, but what got me surprised was when I saw Mother and Carie standing with them. It seems she couldn't wait for me to come yet. "I told them we went on a vacation!" Alex said to me but I knew it was a headstart for any possible question. No wonder he forced me to eat alot and get fat' I thought.
As usual, I had to smile like everything was okay, I wouldn't have the room all to myself this time cause Alex is here with me. I was relieved cause what he had told them was similar to what I told Carie. We got out of the car and Carie rushed up to me, we hugged each other tightly. Indeed I've missed her alot, seeing her again made me so happy.
I went ahead to hug mother too, "You look beautiful!" "You too mother!" I said.
"How was your vacation?" She asked, "It was wonderful!" I replied. "Welcome back Master and Madam!" Leonard and his maids sang in unison. "Thank you!" I said.
"You stayed long on your vacation!" Carie said. "Yes, that's cause Mr Wilson didn't want us to come back!" I said with a sweet smile. "A place that had my son want to stay there forever must be the best place in the world. What country is that so we can go over for Christmas?" Mother asked.
I was dumbstruck, I never saw this coming. I took a glance at Alex who had a mischievous grin on his face. He was mocking me but he forgot easily that if I fall we fall together. He knows what his family members would do if they found out about the truth. "Well Alex didn't let me read the map, but we lived in an estate that said 'if I fall we fall together' it was so weird at first but wonderful at last. Right baby tell mother the name of the country!" I said with a sweet smile.
I could see the frown on Alex's face and it made me happy, "It was Nepal, Let's go inside!" He said sternly and walked in without another word. Mother smiled still hugging me again "Thumbs up!" She said. "What is that for!" I was a little confused. "I don't know how you're able to control this cold man but it's quite impressive!" She said.
"It's never easy!" I said. "Tell me about it!" "It seems mother's trying to steal my best friend. I hate it when I'm the third wheel!" Both mother and I smiled at Carie's little jealous act. We talked more while walking into the mansion. I was happy I finally found a family in Mother and Carie.
I was now used to not traveling with bags any more cause our clothes were already in each Black mansion we got to.
"Smart aren't you?" Alex asked when we got to our bedroom. "I did nothing wrong!" I defended myself. "Of course, you know there was no vacation, what was the use of elongating the conversation?" He asked sitting on the bed. "I don't understand what wrong I committed in trying to make your ridiculous lies believable!" I walked into the closet leaving him alone in the room.
It was time for dinner and according to the Balcks traditions maids were to prepare me for dinner, I refused to wear a makeup cause it was night. I don't have the time to start cleaning the makeup again.
