Kapitel 54: Chapter 53 farm 7
"That's enough, we should try to avoid her and maybe everything will be fine. Besides this yard is massive we might not even see her around!" I said to Carie.
I sat down close to her trying to calm her when I heard my stomach growl. "I haven't had anything to eat since morning' I muttered to myself. "Why?" Carie asked. "Cause of you know who, but don't worry I'll ask Collin to prepare something!" I walked into the kitchen and ate with Carie. Since it was evening we decided to take a tour around.
We moved around exploring the large yard and farm. The farm had varieties of fruits in large sections. Carie plugged an apple and took a bite, "You know you can wash that before eating!" We heard a familiar male vioce behind us, and when we turned around "Rafael!" Carie exclaimed as she hugged him tightly.
It was Rafael Delaney, the cute model guy I met at the airport. "Nice to see you again princess!" He said to me and I rolled my eyes. I've forgotten he's also the princess guy. "Mr Delaney!" I greeted. I usually call him by his surname cause it sounds cute. "What are you doing around here!" He peeked around as his gaze fell back on us.
"Carie's giving me a tour around!" I said. "Can i join too?" He asked and we nodded in agreement. From time to time I could feel Delaney's gaze on me as we advanced further, which made me feel so uncomfortable.
We got to a rivulet, demarcating our land and another. On the other land was a golden statue placed close to the water. I wanted to cross but was held back by Delaney. "Don't go that way, that's not part of our land. This is the demarcation of our land and the 'Huxley's!" Delaney said. "Who are the Huxley's?" I asked looking at the statue. "They've been mama Rossavets rivary for many years now when it come to the farms. You know both farms have been the biggest and best farm in New York for ages now!" He said.
"Mummy still has issues with the Huxley's, even if Mr Jude Huxley is dead!" Carie added. I was really curious in finding out who the Huxley's were. "Does Mr Huxley have any family member?" I asked, "Just a son, David Huxley, who no longer lives here. He's a doctor in London. I guess he didn't take over their family business from his father and decided to give his inheritance to his cousin!" Delaney said
"Does he have any family?" I asked, "I don't think so. Never heard of him getting married!" Delaney said. "Why suddenly interested in the Huxley's? Don't forget they're mummy's enemy so they should be ours!" Carie said and I nodded in agreement. We couldn't go further cause of how varse the land was, so we decided to go back to the mansion.
"How old are you Hazel!" Delaney asked. "22!" Came my short reply and he smiled. "Why are you smiling Delaney does 22 look like a little age to you?" I got irritated. "No princess, 22 is a cute age. Anyways, Did you attend college?" He asked. It was weird Delaney was suddenly interested in my life but I still acted all cool and gave my answer.
"Yes, and incase you're about to ask, I studied I.T in college!" "Uhhhhh, that's the course I wanted to study too, but Dad forced me to study hotel management!" Carie said. "So that's the work you do?" I asked "Yes I manage my families hotels, Avery studied oenology, so she helps in the farms to make wine's!" Carie said.
"Farms?" "Yes we have farms like this in different countries!" She added. "Here have this, I picked it for you!" Delaney gave me strawberries. "How did you know I wanted this? I exhausted the food I ate already!" I took the berries and ate them.
