Hoard

Kael sighs, looking around the never-ending dead forest. 'How many days has it been now? Maybe five days? Fuck, I don't know.'

"I'm surprised we haven't found the next-floor entrance," Itto mumbles, scratching the back of his head. 'I've killed one of those monsters already, and no window popped up. Those tweaking monsters have nothing to do with the level, but they must have some sort of connection to the dungeon.'

"Shit!" The prince grits his teeth, punching a dead tree. "We've been on the same floor for so long! At this point, we won't reach the bottom floor in time," he grunts, becoming more and more irritated.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Kael asks, stopping in his tracks to look back. 'I need to milk out all the information these two morons have. I know practically nothing about this dungeon. All I know is that on the bottom floor, there's an extremely valuable flower growing on a strange tree; that's the flower the prince is after. If I get enough information, I can make speculations on Leena.'

"Ignore him, he's stupid. That moron is worried we won't be able to get out before the dungeon seals itself for another century," Itto mumbles, turning back with an exhale. "Don't worry, we have plenty of time to get out of here. This guy is just paranoid."

Kael sighs as they continue to walk down the misty dead forest. 'Paranoid my ass, this guy is a better actor than me. All these people are.' Turning to see the prince walking, frustrated, 'He's likely annoyed; he wants to get his hands on the flower as soon as possible.'

Swoosh!

Swoosh!

Itto clenches his sword. "Another one of these things... When will they stop coming?" he reaches into his pouch and grabs a potion, pouring it on his blade.

"Can you stop doing that?" Kael nods his head with a sigh. "I'm going to run out of holy potions if you keep pouring it like a child." Yanking the potion out of his hand, he then proceeds to reach into his pouch. "Use a piece of cloth, pour some of it on the cloth, and rub the cloth on your sword." 'I can't believe I have to explain this. He's a good fighter, but he's not very creative.'

Itto scratches the back of his head. "Ah, my bad. I don't usually do stuff like this."

Swoosh!

In an instant, he slices the hideous head off. The cocky and hideous monster didn't have a chance to notice the holy potion and attempts to block the sword strike. "These things are full of themselves. It's clear they're the top predators in this dungeon. Hmhmhmhm. Too bad they met me. I dare every one of these bastards to come after me," Itto grins, kicking the head.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

"W-what... the... fuck..." All three of them step back as dozens of shadows fly around in the mist. "Shit, what the hell is wrong with you, Itto!? You damn pissed them all off!" The prince trembles.

"How the fuck was I supposed to know they speak common tongue!?" he steps back, clenching his sword. "All they do is 'OUghoGu uGoGUh' like some fucking retards!"

"Um... you two can fight all you want, I'm out of here," Kael mumbles as he turns around and starts sprinting. 'There's at least a couple hundred, there's no way we can fight them.'

"Wait for me!" Itto yells, sprinting with all his might.

"Oiughohgg UIGgohgiu gi goguHooUoOIiiiii."

The prince exhales as he sees them all screeching and clicking in their horrible voices. "Fuck..." Boom! He steps into the ground, creating a small crater as he boosts himself. "Wait for me!"

[Level 91]

"Hmhmhm... ugh... I have three broken arteries," Rotû groans, forcing himself to sit up. 'Those damn ugly fucks chewed me up,' he looks down at his arm where a big chunk of meat is missing, his bone visible. His emerald-green skin is covered in blood.

Pushing his electric blue hair back, his chains rattle and shine under the dim light of the cave. "This is gonna—" he uses two fingers, hitting his pressure points. "UGH FUCK!" he slams his fist against the ground.

Cough Cough He wipes his mouth, coughing up a pool of blood.

"I hope Yula's okay, damn rift suddenly appeared, separating us." He looks around, there's no noise or any plant life around. The cave he's in seems more like a passageway, with magic crystals on the roof perfectly aligned, emitting a small hue as if they're there as lights.

After walking for what seems like an eternity, he finds himself face-to-face with a wall full of runes. "Ah fuck my ass," he scratches the back of his head with a heavy exhale. 'No matter where I go, I can't escape these damn things. Hmm...'

"I got it," he clenches his fist. "This is a door, not some trap. No need for formalities."

BOOM!

With one punch, he breaks the wall down. 'Whoever made this door didn't think anyone would end up here...' He looks around. The place looks like some old room. There's a bookshelf and a desk. 'The style looks ancient. This place has to be over 500 years old,' he touches the desk and looks at his finger covered in dust. 'There's no sign of anyone entering this place.'

"Hmhmhmhmhm," he lets himself fall on the old chair. "I found a safe spot~ Hmm?" Turning to the desk, there's a book. He hadn't seen it; it's so dusty it blended in with the table perfectly. 'What do I have here?' he grins, carefully wiping the dust away.

Tirith Lissë

"Tirith Lissë?" Rotû scratches his head. 'Old Elvish, huh? In common tongue, that would translate to "Journey of Discovery." How strange...' He wipes off all the dust, revealing the red leather book. 'The name was crossed out frantically by a blade.' He smirks, opening the book. 'I love secrets~'

Rotû scratches his head. 'I can read Old Elvish just fine, but whoever got this crossed the hell out of everything. I can only read a bit of it.' He flips the page, but it's all crossed out. He flips another one, and everything is crossed out. He continues to flip pages until he manages to get something.

"Yeah... What the fuck?" Rotû scratches his head. "Everything important is crossed out. What the hell's the point of this? Just burn the damn journal if you don't want people to read it," he rolls his eyes, putting it in his pouch. Standing up, he looks around, 'The bookshelf is empty. What a bummer.'

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

"Fuck! Run faster!" Itto yells as they sprint from the monster horde.

"NAH! I'M ACTUALLY GONNA WALK! I'M RUNNING AS FAST AS I FUCKING CAN, YOU FUCKING DUMBASS!" the prince yells, his voice dripping with anger.

Kael exhales and turns his head. 'They're eating each other as they chase us... these things are cannibals. Dammit, at this point they're going to catch—' Turning his head forward, his eyes widen.

BOOM!

A wall shatters, sending chunks of debris everywhere. "Shit!" Kael stands up. 'A fucking rift? Now of all times?' He looks around. 'Dammit, the rift closed. Where am I?' The place is damp with a wet floor, a crystalized bright cave with mana stones growing on all sides. "Ugh... I hope those two are fine," he mumbles, scratching his head and wiping the blood off his face.

Pop.

Kael's eyes widen, and he exhales calmly. 'Goddammit, my heart rate is already through the roof. What is she doing?' He feels cold steel on the back of his head. "U-um hello, this is our first time meeting, right? I'm a student. The guild master said I could join you in the raid, remember?"

Pop.

Ryua lowers her gun while chewing gum. After a second of a cold stare, she turns away and looks around.

'Bein practically begged me to make her a custom gun. I don't know much about her, except that she's a good shooter. Seriously though...' He looks at her, fighting the urge to fall with the countless wounds she has. 'Did she fight an army of those things?' With a sigh, he reaches into his pouch and throws her a potion. "Please drink it, you look horrible."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"...No."

"You're acting like a child," Kael sighs.

"It won't work," she responds blankly, throwing it back.

"It's a holy potion," Kael throws it back.

"Why?"

"What a dumb question. Do I need a reason to help out a friend's friend?"

"Friend's friend?"

"Yup, a friend's friend is also my friend," Kael smiles. 'Just take the bait, stubborn woman.'

"No, we're not friends, but I will accept the potion," she mumbles before chugging it down.
