The beam destroyed a brick wall beside them, turning the ordered layer of bricks into a pile of rubble.

Clark threw his first punch, but it was totally evaded. Even with the speed from his flight, he was inferior to this burly man in that category.

Each attack he threw simply did nothing. It was like he was teleporting away and all he was hitting was the silver trail of energy that the man was leaving.

The man elbowed Clark in his stomach as he tried to attack him from behind once again, hurling him into the air. He stopped himself in flight and was now in a pant, holding his abdomen in agony.

Elias rummaged through his pocket and summoned just enough energy to give himself a needed reset.

His body returned to its ordinary strength in seconds and the 4 students stood in a line once again, now facing the man.
