Kapitel 24: Devil Doesn't Bargain

It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, and Julia was busy tidying up the living room. As she wiped the dust off the coffee table, Maria walked in with a cheerful "Hola!"

"Hey, Maria. Could you please help me with these cushions?" Julia asked, gesturing towards the pile of cushions on the couch.

"Sure thing!" Maria replied with a smile and picked up the cushion tray from the floor. However, as she did so, she stumbled and accidentally knocked over a water bottle on the table, causing the water to spill all over it.

Julia looked up from her cleaning, her expression shifting from surprise to annoyance as she saw what had happened. "Maria, please don't help. You're making a mess," she said with a frustrated tone.

Feeling guilty, Maria apologized, "I'm sorry, Julia. I was just trying to help."
