Kapitel 19: Despair.

The sound of Alisha's own heartbeat filled her ears like a drumbeat, drowning out the sound of the heavy rain and thunder outside. Her mind raced with a thousand questions, each more terrifying than the last. "What does he mean by that?" she thought, her breathing quickening with each passing second. "What does he mean by 'again'?"

Alisha's thoughts were interrupted when Alex put his hand on her cheek and said, "You're so beautiful." Alisha was stunned, unsure of what to do.

Alisha's heart pounded in her chest as Alex's hand brushed against her cheek, sending a shiver down her spine. The room seemed to close in around her, the walls pressing in as the storm raged outside. The sound of the rain was deafening, each drop hitting the window like a gunshot.

As Alex leaned in closer, Alisha's breath caught in her throat. She could feel his hot breath on her face, the scent of his cologne filling her nostrils. It was a heady mix of musk and spice, and it made her dizzy.
