Kapitel 44: He Is Odd

"Lev." A strict, demanding voice called in the back of his mind. 

Lev recalled lifting his face. Although now as an adult he could tower over almost everyone he met, he still had to crane his neck as a child. He could see the nuns disappear from the place, seemingly holding their hands together in a prayer while he was far away from them as though he was the lamb to be sacrificed. The man in front of him looked like death itself. 

His face was a blur inside Lev's mind, his eyes were obscure but he recalled the man being dressed wholly in black coat as if he was waiting for the chance to kill, like a grim reaper whose hobby was to collect souls. He pushed the hat covering his hair even deeper down his face and reached out his gloved hands to the small Lev. His words were still echoed in the back of his head even though almost two decades have passed ever since then.
