Just from the entrance one thing was clear-
Whatever this place was-
Was anything but unclean.
Blindingly glistening walls, floor, and even the marvelous chandeliers above.
It was a castle-
Yet- only had two floors and the second floor was just for decoration- connected by two spiral stairways.
Quite the contrast compared to the outside.
“Welcome!” The voice. The same man as last night. “To my humble abode!” He walked down from the top-
A cane in hand-
The same suit as last night.
But now that Maria saw a bit clearly-
Brown suit, white shirt, red tie. Golden threads.
No-
Perhaps he wasn’t a butler.
Besides, he welcomed them to ‘his’ humble abode, signifying-
“Count Margius…” Xerc whispered, and then followed suit with a bow.
Maria didn’t bother-
And the count didn’t really mind either, at least appearance wise.
“Thanks for the help earlier,” she said.
