Kapitel 28: Trial of Strength
Stunned by his failure Wyatt was caught off guard by the weight of the first door.
Wyatts overconfidence quickly died down after his failure because if just the first door already weighed several dozen pounds he could only fear what the trial had in store for him.
Firmly planting his feet apart and placing his on the door Wyatt used all the force he could muster to push the door open. Luckily, the weight wasn't so heavy that his raw strength couldn't open it if he tried properly so this time he managed to arrive at the second door.
Getting into position Wyatt once again used all his strength to push the door before failing miserably.
Although he knew that his raw strength was probably his biggest weakness he didn't expect that his limit was only the first door. Since it's impossible to just suddenly gain muscle mass now it looked like Wyatt had no choice but to rely on his mana to open the doors going forward.
Since poison would have no affect on his force and he didn't want to drain his mana pool with electricity yet Wyatt decided to use his wind element first.
Covering both his arms in the familiar wind he got back into position but this time instead of pushing forward he launched the build up wind forward from his palms blasting the door open
BOOM
the door flung open from his mana pressure revealing the third room. Wyatt didn't wait after clearing the 2nd door and immediately attempted the same thing on the 3rd.
This time he found much less success since the door didn't fling open but he still managed to open a big enough gap between the doors to squeeze his body through. Sadly this wind push strategy reached its limit soon after with Wyatt failing to open the fourth door.
"huff... I don't think pushing will work anymore" Wyatt mumbled to himself catching his breath after his last attempt.
Sitting down Wyatt started to think of his next course of action. Deliberating a strategy for over a minute Wyatt decided his best choice was to only focus on half of the door instead of opening it from the center and using his full wind mana to punch it open.
He knew it wasn't the smartest strategy in any way but sometimes brute force is the best solution out there. Quickly getting to work Wyatt started gathering his wind mana into one arm while heading back to the dreaded doors.
PUNCHHHH
Swing his arm forward with full force he succeeded in pushing the door forward. Although the gap wasn't enough to fit through, now that he knew his idea could work he swiftly repeated the action only this time collecting more wind mana in his arm before attacking.
This time he passed through the fourth door with relative ease.
Try the same strategy again on the 5th door Wyatt was starting to feel the current limit of his wind mana. His attack wasn't completely useless because he still managed to nudge the door a couple of inches forward but it was not nearly enough room for him to pass through.
With no other choice, Wyatt switched over to his lightning mana hoping that the extra power would give him enough of a boost to continue.
Sizzle Sizzle
A large bubble of electricity formed around his right hand as he prepared himself to punch the door once again.
BAAM
Luckily the extra force was exactly what Wyatt needed to pass the 5th door.
"Phew..." Lying on the ground again Wyatt took a quick break to refuel his mana.
Sadly the test of strength hadn't been going as expected with Wyatt already emptying his tank of lightning element only halfway through the doors.
10 minutes later after a short rest, he attempted his strategy again.
To Wyatts Dismay even a lightning filled punch wasn't enough to help him reach the 6th door. As he swung his arm forward and the impact of the hit was enough to push the door slightly forward but due to the monstrous weight the door slammed back down before Wyatt even had a chance to step forward.
Wyatt knew that if he wanted to succeed he would need a lot more momentum.
Taking over a dozen steps back Wyatt covered his lower body in wind mana his plan was to use the wind to increase his speed before ramming into the door with his shoulder covered in lightning mana praying that the momentum would be enough to launch him through the door.
"huff....huff, 3 2 1" he counted himself down while leaning over into a sprinting pose
DASH
Ramming into the door at full force Wyatt felt as if his entire shoulder had shattered from the impact. Falling through the gap he collapsed in front of the 7th door
"Argh!...cough, cough" Rolling on the floor Wyatt clutched his shoulder in pain.
As much as he would've loved to rest right at the moment he already knew that once he finished the trial he would be fully recovered. So while gritting his teeth Wyatt slowly pulled himself back to his feet wincing everytime his shoulder moved.
"I can keep going...." he mumbled to himself wobbling with every step and struggling to keep his balance.
Using his last bit of energy he firmly planted his feet into the ground before repeating his dashing attack only this time leading with his other shoulder.
BAAM
Slamming into the door he could feel it move slightly with his body but before he could create any distance the massive gateway slammed back down into his face sending him crashing back into the 6th door.

With no more energy left Wyatt collapsed onto the ground his trial of Strength coming to an early end.

Opening his eyes as the familiar warm light washed over him Wyatt opened his eyes to the familiar notification
