Kapitel 75: Chapter 75

Khai drove Ana and Madge to a secluded spot, located deep inside the forest nearly half hour away from Arcane. He stole a glance at Ana, who sat in the passenger seat, fidgeting with her fingers. She had been a bundle of nerves all morning and could barely manage a greeting to Madge when they met in the parking lot. Suppressing a laugh at her skittishness, Khai focused on the road ahead.

His eyes flicked to the rear view mirror, where he saw Madge snoring off in the backseat. Her head had slumped back on the seat and her mouth was hanging open. He didn't even have to look again to know that she was drooling.

Why Ana was jealous of her was beyond him. He parked the car at the entrance to the clearing and leaned towards the back seat to shake Madge lightly. She woke up in a jolt, looking around to see where she was.

"Madge, we're here. Let's go." He said in a low voice
