Kapitel 23: Chapter 23: Hiding the Worst of It.

Adel’s POV.

“Hey, there you are.” I smiled down at my mate who was soaking in the small clawfoot bathtub in our cabin.

Nix looked up at me, his long muscular frame barely fitting in the white ceramic tub. Scooting back, he wordlessly communicated his need for me to join him. I took my time unwrapping my thin floral blue robe from my body. Loving the way Nix fully cherished every single inch of skin revealed to him. I let the robe hang open before slipping it off my shoulders, dropping it off my back, and letting it pool around my feet.

I climbed into the tub. Resting my face on Nix’s chest, loving the sound of his strong heartbeat as he wrapped his arms around me, stroking up and down my back before his hands found their home right above my butt.

“I’m sorry I slept so long,” I apologized, nestling deeper into his chest and kissing him lightly right above his heart.

“It’s okay, I did wear you out last night,” Nix teased.
