--MC POV--
"Back to your seat" said the coach.
We were on a bus directed to the cross-country meet, but the traffic kept delaying our travel.
Me, Lydia, Malia and Allison were at the backseat of the bus.
With Allison and Malia being shapeshifters and Lydia having trained a lot last year, it was easy to enter the cross-road team for us.
In recent days I found out where Laura was kept by reaching the last place where I felt her, and said place was the vault of an abandoned bank.
This also explained why I couldn't feel her, in a certain sense it makes sense for a place like a closed vault to block my senses, right?
Well, I don't have any way to study the precise reason why this vault blocks my senses, but the important thing right now is to free Laura.
We also found out how to enter the vault.
The reason this bank was abandoned is that there were thieves, who entered the vault and robbed the bank.
All we need to do is to follow the same plan and enter the vault, and even thought they repaired the destroyed wall, I'm more than capable of breaking it again with my strength.
It wasn't easy finding out how the thieves did it, but by asking Erica, to ask to Stiles to ask to his dad about the robbery, we were able to find out said plan, as it was resolved by the sheriff.
The only problem we still have, it's that Laura is always guarded by one of the members of the alpha pack, even now it was clear that one of the twins was monitoring her, since only one was on the bus.
Obviously I'm not scared of a single alpha, but the problem is that I could fall in the same predicament of last time, he could use Laura to threaten me.
There are two ways I found to resolve this problem, the first is to use a distraction, the second is to wait for the eclipse.
During the eclipse all shapeshifters lose their powers, me included, but a banshee like Lydia doesn't and we also have Allyson who is an expert archer.
In front of us sat Scott and Stiles, who kept alternating between talks about the Darach and contests about finding the definition of unusual words, which has become the new hobby of Scott, an annoying hobby.
Not annoying as Derek's betas in front of them, who could hardly control their impulse to attack the enemy, who sat few seats near, talking with Danny…
I too have been resisting the urge to take my anger on the twin, but what makes it even more unbearable is knowing that my enemy and my best friend are flirting with each other, but I can't blame him as he knows nothing of the supernatural word or what that guy has done to me.
Everything seems to be annoying these days, I hate seeing how the word still goes on, and everyone keeps living their life, not knowing how I feel, how stressful I am at this moment and how much I fear that something could happens to Laura.
Now, more than even I feel like there is a barrier that separate me, Lydia, Malia and Allison from the rest of the word that doesn't know what I know or what I feel.
Suddenly Boyd started to transform, and I could see from where I was his nails piercing the seat.
He wanted to kill the alpha, as he couldn't stand to be in the same bus, with the man he fought with few days ago.
"We need to do something" told me Scott.
"I won't act in any conflicts between you and the alphas for as long as Laura is in danger" I replied.
I hate not being able to act as I want, but my priority is to protect my pride, they are my priorities, I could do anything to protect them.
Hearing my words he approached Boyd and covered the hand of the latter with his, to hide the nails.
"Stop Boyd!"
"What am I supposed to do? To just stay quiet, while that man is here. Just a few days ago he was trying to kill us, remember?" Said Boyd with a growl.
"I also remember saving your life, you would just be beaten if you attacked him now. Even if we worked together against him we won't gain anything from defeating only one, and right now they also have a hostage. This isn't the moment to fight." Scott's word seemed to convince Boyd and lastly he finally decided to turn back.
"I'll trust you this time, but there won't be a next" stated Boyd.
Scott soon came back to his seat, and Stiles decided to use this moment to ask a question that afflicted him.
"I know you don't want to speak about Laura and the Alpha pack since you are trying to stay out of this, but how about we try to come up with something about the sacrifices at least? There have been 3 others a few days ago and they were all ex-soldiers, and I believe that the power that comes with killing warriors is more dangerous than what he got from killing virgins" He said.
We find out a few days ago of the death of another student of our school, and the day after the music teacher met the same end.
Prof. Harris also disappeared, and he had just enough time to leave a clue before being dragged away, writing the word Darach on the tests he was assessing and this confirmed our suspect about the dark druid.
This means that differently from the other victims, Harris knew something about this and maybe he was also involved in it.
Moreover knowing Harris I presume that the Darach is a woman, after all he already got used and thrown away by a woman once and I'm sure it would be easy for him to fall for the same trick another time.
"I don't know if it is useful, but I once read that these kinds of rituals were done before wars to get the favour or help of gods. For example, Agamemnon scarified his virgin daughter, Iphigenia, to Artemis, to placate her rage and allow the Achaean fleet to depart for troy" said Lydia.
"So, you think that the Darach is preparing herself for a battle…" I asked, but then I had a realization.
"It must be the alpha pack, she appeared just after them and she wants to accumulate enough power to fight with them" maybe she could be the distraction I needed.
I don't know if she is strong enough to fight against Deucalion and the other alphas, but with all her knowledge about the supernatural I'm sure she has some plans.
Either way even if she loses it doesn't matter as all I need is someone who can distract them long enough so that I have more possibilities to succeed in saving Laura.
Time passed and the news that the cross-road meet had been delayed soon reached us, so we decided to pass the night in a motel we found on the road.
A creepy and decaying motel, but lately I have been hanging out in all the abandoned places of Beacon Hills, so it isn't that bad.
(Sorry, for the lateness, i had commitment. Hope you enjoy today's chapter and that you'll give me some power stones. Also many of you have been making many questions about my plans here in the comment section, but if you want to ask for spoiler than use Discord please.)
