**************

Greetings everyone. I hope you are all doing well. It saddens me to see that our community is not as strong as I once believed it to be, but I need some help to boost my new novel. I have decided to offer some extra chapters if you help me out by adding my other novel to your libraries.

For every milestone of new readers we reach, I will publish extra chapters as follows:

1 extra chapter for 1,000 new readers

2 extra chapters for 3,000 new readers

3 extra chapters for 5,000 new readers

4 extra chapters for 8,000 new readers

At the moment, my second novel has 900 readers. You can see the collection number in my profile and keep track of our progress. If we reach any of these milestones within the next two weeks, I will release the promised extra chapters. Thank you for your continued support.

"Where did they come from?" Mokami asked, his eyes fixed on the screen showing Sahar and her two sidekicks battling tens of villains. They had not anticipated Ahmed to be capable of gathering such a large group of enemies in one place, despite their supposed discretion. Though their planning had not been entirely covert, there was no way to be certain that it was a trap.

"I have to go after Ahmed. I need to trust Sahar," he said firmly, clenching his fist before leaving the CCTV room. The signal from the dagger had vanished close to his current location, so he began walking in that direction. Although he had left a tracking device in the dagger, he knew it wasn't completely reliable. Ahmed was no fool - in fact, he was quite intelligent - so basic tricks like that wouldn't be enough to catch him. Nevertheless, it was a small trick to help put Ahmed at ease and believe that he was safe.

Ahmed, having successfully stolen the dagger from right under Sahar's nose, couldn't help but feel a sense of elation as he made his escape. 'Heh, Sahar. You're getting old,'

While Sahar was occupied fighting against his lieutenant, Ahmed used his years of experience to sneak into the room where the dagger was kept and took it without alerting anyone. His unique abilities allowed him to remain invisible and undetected, even by Sahar. With his predator physiology, he left no scent to track him and his equipment ensured that he made minimal noise. All of these factors made him a nearly unbeatable thief.

"Although I will miss Aysha, they have outlived their usefulness. I need a new team anyway. Shadia is crazy and Farouk is too unpredictable. Tariq and Nora were fine, but still too high-profile. Now that they're associated with me, I can't risk it," Ahmed said, shaking his head with a crazed grin as he looked at the dagger.

"There might be tracking devices on the dagger. We can't risk it, can we?" he muttered, pulling out a device from his pocket. With a press of a button, a wave was unleashed, and every electronic device in the area lost function. "Much better."

He then removed the dagger from its sheath, causing a cloud of dust to fill his lungs. "Truly an ancient artifact. It even has dust on it from millennia ago," he grinned.

Mokami glanced down at the tablet in his hands as he was pushed forward by a pair of skaters. A grin spread across his face as he watched some of the cameras stop working.

"You're not very smart, Ahmed. Or is this just arrogance?" Mokami could tell Ahmed's location based on where the cameras were malfunctioning. Even though he didn't put a tracking device inside the dagger due to Ahmed's caution, he had placed a weight-sensitive device on the display stand that would alert him when the dagger was removed. Ahmed still assumed that the dagger had a tracking device, and used an EMP to disable it. "Now, I dare you to unsheathe the dagger."

Not long after, he arrived at the opening where all the cameras had been fried with an EMP, and his eyes began to shine with a red luster. It wasn't a bloody red, but a fiery red. This was the new vision he had gained after observing Sahar: heat vision. Unlike the infrared and common heat vision found on the market, Sahar's ability allowed her to "see" heat. Although it was difficult for him to explain, it allowed him to see all sources of heat rather than just the difference between spectrums, creating a more precise mental image than thermal goggles. However, this ability wasn't enough to catch The Chameleon. If it were, Sahar, who had much better heat vision than Mokami, would have caught Ahmed a thousand times over by now.

Mokami soon detected what he had been looking for and dashed to the location. Soon enough, he discovered a cluster of shining dots moving at high speed in his vision, although no one else beside him could see them.

"The hell? How can you follow me?" Ahmed exclaimed, looking back. He had detected Mokami as soon as the latter appeared and, to err on the side of caution, had changed his path. But to his absolute surprise, the young man had managed to follow him. Not only that, he was staring right at him.

Ahmed looked down at himself to check if there was anything wrong with his disguise, but found nothing out of place. He then focused on his quirk, making sure he was adapted to the temperature around him. He should have been invisible. How could this person see him? Just how?

'Dust!' He concluded almost immediately. It must have been the dust sprayed on him when he unsheathed the dagger. But it shouldn't have been possible. He could instinctively change the color and heat scheme of everything on him, including his clothes and the stolen dagger. This wasn't the first time he had been sprayed by something. Hell, even Nadia had once marked him with her Quirk, but he was able to change the color and heat of them, so no one could see them. How? How could this person fucking see him?

"Hehe, Ahmed. I can see from your heated expression that you're angry. You must have figured it out." Mokami taunted.

"Who the hell are you?" Ahmed asked, but he already knew. Sahar was his arch-enemy, and like any capable villain, he kept tabs on her. As soon as Mokami appeared, he knew who he was. Ahmed gathered more information about the teen than Sahar probably did. He knew what Mokami was capable of. He even contacted one of his associates to reach the League of Villains in Japan and inquire about Mokami.

The leader, Shigaraki or something, said that Mokami was just a buffoon and that Ahmed had nothing to worry about. Most of the things they saw on TV were just a big show that UA put on to impress other countries, and they shouldn't believe them. Although Ahmed was skeptical, he still thought it made sense. Why would a villain want to trick him, a fellow villain, in order to protect an aspiring hero? That didn't make sense, right? But what the hell is this? Is this the buffoon that Shigaraki said I shouldn't worry about? Bro, are you like my girlfriend who tells me not to worry about her male best friend because he's harmless, and then years later I find out they've been doing it for years?
