Too much. It had taken far too much to heal Ninit. I would live. My three Healers would live. All three of us would be weak for the next few days. The joints in my body groaned at every movement. I needed sleep. Now that the hatchlings were fed we needed to head home. With the thought in mind I placed my Kegan and still small Kindon, I had named HeartSong, onto Crim's back. Then we set off. I said nothing to Aleksi or his family. Nor to his fellow Hunters. As injured as I was I had no interest it preening. I had no desire to rub in his Mother and sisters faces that what they learned to do was nothing compared to what my newly hatched Bonded could achieve.
