They were once again surrounded.

Dan, on the other hand, lacked the strength to flee them this time.

''I'm sorry, Rayn... I can't… '' And Dan finally gave up. There was no point in deceiving himself any longer. With the realization that the monsters had surrounded them again and his body's condition, he truly accepted that they had come to an end. 

There was no other way out for them.
