Kapitel 1: CH 1

First I was reincarnated, then I found out that my parents were killed, then I found out that I should have been dead as well but by miracle, the knife lodged in my chest missed my vitals or I would have bled out.

Not pleased with this series of coincidences the world decided that my parents left off a good sum of money to raise me in case they died, probably knowing where their jobs would take them, so Gina (Castle's ex-wife) who was a dear friend of my mother since High School decided to take me in.

I was 13, and that day I learned that I was reincarnated in one of the best tv shows ever created (Castle), the problem was that my memory of the show was really foggy but I was determined to be in the plot as much as possible anyways, as such this is my story.

...

"How was school today dear?" asked Aunty Gina, as how I was now accustomed to calling her, from the kitchen, she was cooking as the good smell of food wafted over to me standing at the entrance.

"All good aunty" I answered as I made my way to her "You might be pleased to know that Stormfall was all the rage today," I said as I hugged her. In these two years, she has been a pillar for me, in this familiar yet unfamiliar world, I was only 25 when I was transported here, and the gap between my new peers was huge, if it wasn't for her I would have been very lonely. She was a no-nonsense woman, always checking on my studies, always making sure I was not losing time, tv was heavily banned except for the news, music, or cultural shows, we passed the nights reading together, doing homework or work, my late night outings were heavily reduced from my last night but I wasn't complaining and she was happy. She liked how responsible I was, she liked that I realized why she made me do some things and prevent me from doing others, I was calm and collected, and once she realized I could take care of myself she left me my independence for the most part. She wasn't a perfect mother, and I wasn't her child nor I was perfect myself, but it was fine. "Good job as always"

"Thank you" she answered as she hugged me back "Now, go sit, lunch is almost ready"

Soon enough she gave me a plate with meat and a side of vegetables, she was very dutiful in following the diet and was left ecstatic when she realized I never complained about it. She probably thought she would have to fight a lot over it with a teenager. In the end, I was left with a lean body always full of energy, so who cares.

"Oh Jack, I almost forgot" she started as soon she sat down "Tonight you will come with me to the party" I stopped munching and put down my cutlery eyes wide open.

I gulped down the food and said with a raised eyebrow "Finally much?" I then grinned and continued "Are you going to introduce Castle to me?" much to her bitterness I never made any effort to hide I really liked castle, her fault, she bought me his first book, her fault. I had to admit, the way Castle wrote mysteries was something I found only in Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle, he is indeed a legend and his fame well deserved.

"I know I should have done that already but I..." she trailed off and I continued mercilessly, we had this kind of relationship after all, she always said what she thought and I always told her what she thought, I couldn't lie to her and she couldn't lie to me "You were scared for whatever reason" she sighed in resignation.

"Yes, I was scared, about a lot of silly things but... You are part of the family Jack, I want to introduce you to them" I could tell she meant every word

"Alexis will be there tonight as well..." she trailed off again probably trying to find the words and I continued again "Still unable to find the courage to get close to her? Want me to give you a hand?"

She shook her head with a bitter laugh, "Why are you so damn perceptive, but I guess that's why you want to become a criminal psychologist" she then looks at me and asks with a bitter smile "Will you help me?" I smiled, that's the least I can do

"Of course" I smiled, I also wanted to meet her anyways

...

"...Rick Castle!" as soon as Gina ended her speech chaos broke loose, beautiful girls left and right hoping to get lucky enough to get into a relationship with the man of the hour, journalists looking for a scoop, and finally, actual fans of the books stormed the myth, the legend.

After modestly applauding I started heading for the bar, away from the big crowd, after looking around I easily spotted them, a grandma with a penchant for comedy and her granddaughter.

The girl was studying where there was chaos, it was clear she had done this so many times she was now used to it, the red dress complemented her hair. The scene was a complete oxymoron, everyone was partying and having fun while she was immersed in her books, I noticed that guys our age completely avoided her, my opinion? They feared getting outwitted by her, they feared the embarrassment that comes with not being able to hold a decent conversation with someone smart enough to understand they were full of sweet nothings.

I got close to the duo, when I noticed that the barman was suspiciously familiar, ah, he was called Fabian he was mother's favorite bartender "Hi Fabian, can you get me the usual?" the duo turned towards me, and I caught Martha Rodgers sizing me up, probably brewing up some trouble that would embarrass Alexis so hard she would want to dig her own grave.

"Ah, Jack, a pleasure to see you here, usual coming up!"

"thank you as always"

I turned to the duo, and looked at Alexis staring curiously, I noticed her book and immediately recognized it, our school had the same one, math, I love math.

"Math? Damn was it dress code?" I quipped, not my best one but I got a small chuckle out of it so I considered it a total win

"When you have a test coming, you gotta do what you gotta do" she shrugged

"Too true, sorry to have barged in, my school uses the same book" I then extended my hand "Jack Philips"

"Alexis Castle" she probably expected a big show from the mention of her surname, which I easily avoided making, she got that treatment too many times I reckon, maybe sometimes it is fine to be treated like a normal person instead of a daughter of a celebrity"Pleasure" I then deftly extended my hand to Martha while repeating my name.

"Ah! Martha Rodgers, what a charmer" I just chuckled at her antics while Fabian chose that exact moment to intervene

"Here is your drink Jack"

"Ah thank you" then I looked back at Alexis still looking at me with a small smile, it wasn't forced, that's a start I guess.

"So, you look like you don't need it, but since I have already done that subject, if you need help do not hesitate to ask. I will stay here reading myself if it doesn't bother you, hard to find quiet places in this mess"

It was Martha answering that for her with a big shady smile "But of course, you can stay sweetie, say is that alcoholic?" she asks pointing at my drink

"This? No, it isn't, but it could be, it is bitter though would you like to try the alcoholic version?" she widens her eyes in interest but said nothing before I sealed the deal "My treat"

"Ah well, in that case, it would be rude of me to decline" easy gg

"Fabian! Get the lady an E-Mule please"

"Coming right up! Might take a second"

After a while, I saw Martha glancing at Alexis and then at me, and it wasn't long before the redhead asked me a question "Umh, I'm having trouble a little with this question, I think the procedure is correct but the result is wrong"

I looked at the question, it was a hard one, harder than her grade, was she testing me or something? Didn't seem like it, the problem was done and redone multiple times in the paper. It wasn't a problem for me

"Ah I see where you might get confused, let's do it like this, I am just going to give you a hint, I think you are smart enough to find the solution by yourself after that"

"Alright" she simply answers, she wasn't testing me

"Remember the theory, what is important to add before simplifying exponentials? And, systems are really cool in a graph" I tell her with a mischievous smile

She furrows her eyebrows for a while before widening her eyes "I'm dumb!" she exclaims after a while to which I just laugh.

"You aren't, you are probably just very tired,"

"Really, doll face, he has a point who even does homework at a party?"

"I got a test, you know it"

"I do to"

"Liver function." quipped Martha making me laugh which she enjoyed, then added "You don't see me studying" gaining a smile from Alexis

"Anyways" she starts again "This is great, gave me another"

"Make that two" a voice and a man appeared just behind us, this lame line was how I met Castle.
