As there was not much time left, only four minutes and thirty seconds till the fight was going to start.

Lucas, Jimmy, and John brainstormed a plan in the presence of others to get as much help as anyone could give.

Lucas and the other heads didn't want to say it loud but everyone had a single thought in their mind that boggled it. 

It was that they were not at all ready, Lucas was going to go all out in the case that he didn't have to protect others but it was not possible without taking risks.

Through dumbness or too much confidence, they brought people with them that had no fighting quality or will. 

People like Sean, Sandra, Bill and Haley were big baggage that needed to be protected so the plan had to be molded according to it.

In the end, as the time was too little, they went with the most basic of formation that was effective and simple at the same time.
