Kapitel 100: CHAPTER 100

　　I hear the click of his door shut, and my heart sinks a little. I get to my door with my mom, and she kisses me on the cheek with a quick goodnight before opening it. Depositing me safely inside and doing her maternal duty of checking I go to bed.

　　I nod, smile, act as normal as possible, and avoid looking his way again, fearing she might think it’s weird. I know he has closed his door, yet the urge to stare grips me. My heart is still hammering, and now I don’t know what to think about that encounter.

　　Being caught this way, practically dragged out, and without the opportunity to talk about what we just did, makes me confused and antsy. There’s no closure to it.

　　I shut my door and press my back to the cool surface as I listen to my mom's footsteps recede and finally try to normalize my breathing. My palms are clammy, and I run them through my hair and fan my face, unsure of what I should do now.

　　Do I wait and go back?
