Skiving school kids, huddled together, whispering loudly and laughing obnoxiously, began to jeer as they passed. It didn't help that Ronan was oblivious to their cruelty and thought they were calling to him. He waved, grinned and shouted a hi at them.
The little bastards began firing Haribos at him, telling him to get back on the slow-bus. They jeered other insults, each one worse than the last, egging each other on, lobbing more sweets at them.
The smile instantly slipped from Ronan's face. Tears prickled in his eyes. Confusion nibbled away at his expression. /"Angie?/" he whispered, unsure. /"They being not nice to Wo-Wo?/"
/"No, Ro-bow, they're not,/" Angel said calmly. He was still holding his hand. He could feel the transfer of trembles that had struck up in the Little boy. Teeth locking in a clench, he pulled Lucien, who was red faced, head bowed and looking on on the brink of tears, closer and forced his hand over Ronan's.
