Kapitel 30: The Light and The Darkness II
The Hero's grim contorted as the enemy army shuddered in fear! Pointing her big sniper forward towards the enemy flagship, she loaded her sniper!
*RUMBLE!*
A massive purple ominous ball started to load, dragging energy from Enlightenment.
"Die for me!" The majestic hero billowed in wrath!
*SLAP!!*
"Auch!"
*BOOOMMMM!!!!*
The devastating purple beam shot with a deviated trajectory! Passing directly by the flagship of the enemy army where their eyes could only see the miracle of life as their foreheads sweated in fear.
*RUMBLE!!*
The battlefield turned silent for a moment as the world-destroying beam made the army shudder.
And a few seconds later…
*BOOOOOMMMM!!!!*
The ground shook in tremors; the world trembled as a purple homogenous explosion that obliterated the land, followed by a big shockwave, impacted the army shields!
A few seconds later, with the explosion yet to subside, the causalities were reported by the AIs to the enemy officers, hundreds of small ships in the rear formation destroyed, dozens of battleships with higher shields incapacitated, and approximately ten thousand deaths...
Maximum destruction.
The Hero -the primary cause of the catastrophe- fumed in anger with her master!
"Master what are you doing!? I can only use that twice you know!" She rubbed her pained head, her master just slapped her head while she was about to end the enemy!
"Bloody fool, I told you to leave the flagship! No wonder you still have a superior even with such annihilating capacity! Focus on your own side, dumb draculine!" The Count retorted with a scowl making the Hero low herself in fear! 'Who in their right mind would give this dumb girl a Nuke!?'
He remembered a certain North Korean bastard back in the day, who gave that motherf*cker a nuke?
"Y-Yes, I'm so sorry master!" She was so excited about the kiss that she forgot! directly wanting to blast away the enemy!
Alucard sighed, even after becoming a fearful commander, she was still impulsive and reckless, just like when he started training her.
'How come after seven hundred years, nothing has changed at all…' Not him, not Seras, not humanity.
It was time for a change.

"Commander! we have high casualties, please state your orders! Ionic charge is highly suggested!" The advisor typed something on his computer and referred to the enemy commander.
The latter, following Alucard's orders, acted normally with a calm but not-so-calm expression, "She can only use the disruptor twice, and that little girl stopped her, have you found who she is? Anyway, formation alpha, prepare the Ionic Cannon and send a load, I want you to weaken her shield as much as possible, and prepare the second one right after.
Position alpha was one that focused on strategic retreat, where the smallest ships and ground units would be used as a sacrifice to preserve the flagship.
Now that the Hero was here, and with Delta protocol even, there were no hopes of winning. She was even using the infernal disruptor, her second strongest gun they had intel of.
Thankfully, she wasn't using the Infernal Interdictor or they would likely not leave this place alive, but it would also be a huge loss to her.
The ammo for those two world-ending weapons was the energy supplemented by the 'Enlightenment'; upon using a charge of any of them, its energy marginally decreased and would take weeks to recover, weeks on which they could take advantage of the Hero's absence in the battlefield.
Now that she had used a charge of the infernal disruptor, they had won two days, delta protocol gave them three more days, it would be a week without her presence in the front line and he needed to rely on this information.
But then, he didn't understand, why would she go so far in this small frontline. Usually, she would just coordinate from the back, using her strategic cards when necessary, there wasn't anything really special happening in this frontline, why would she be deployed here?
Be it as it may, they now had an advantage over England due to the use of the disruptor.
The Soviet army followed orders and started retreating their warships in a shield formation with the flagship in the middle.
Seras' ships and the Soviet units kept destroying each other, but there were only soviet casualties.
The ground forces could only swallow the bullet and try to make time.
*BOOM!!*

Seras kept firing 'weaker' versions of her disruptor one after the other as her mind coordinated the alliance's ships in a spear formation, attacking from the centre but focusing mostly on the left side.
Most of her units concentrated on the aircraft, while the remaining weaker and smaller battleships attacked the ground units, but just a few minutes after starting she was being held back by the conjoint forces of the two wings' ground units.
She looked to the side and saw Alucard standing there calmly, not doing anything.
"At this pace, you're going to have to follow my order, Master~", She said confidently and kept firing, her shield protecting the two of them from incoming fire.
Every time she shot her disruptor, a ship would be disintegrated in the distance.
The 'Enlightenment' had become a big hub at this point, as the connection to the other ships was covered by it.
<Commander, 70% Shield energy remaining. Ionic Blast expected, exercise caution.> Asha spoke from the ship, as an AI she was aware of the results of the previous impact of an Ionic Blast on the commander, that was the reason why she was now the AI of the seventh enlightenment and not the sixth...
"Commence the extraction from lower units, deploy aegis", Seras ordered while continuing her onslaught, to replenish her own energy, she would extract small quantities from other units, it wouldn't be much, but it was better than losing her shield.
Alucard looked at this and sighed, A Nosferatu using a shield… Use your flesh as the shield!
Upon sensing his thoughts, the two phantom spectators couldn't help but roll their eyes.
The Count glanced at the flagship, he sensed that they were preparing to use that Ionic Cannon right at this moment and decided to make his move.
Phase one was completed, it was time for phase two. The stratagem that could topple any empire, the stratagem of fear!
His body disappeared and reappeared in front of the Enlightenment, outside of the shield now red shield, aegis.
This battle was being transmitted to the world from multiple cameras. War was now highly commercial and the world's entertainment… Yes, something had actually changed, now the war was worse than before.
"Master, don't tell me you plan to take it head-on!" Seeing his movements, Seras shouted with apprehension, her master was strong but, that beam… It had only graced her, and it almost kills her…
Outside of the battlefield, multiple people couldn't help but wonder who was that petite girl… Was she one of the Hero's familiars?
It was no secret that she was a vampire, what's more. She was a Nosferatu, a true vampire! The last one remains.
Even if she didn't use her powers most of the time, due to the lack of situations where she was forced to fight close-handed, there was no doubt that she was a Nosferatu, they could explode or even implode the whole enlightenment, in fact, they had done it before, but it was never enough to kill her, she would just crawl up with a grim and start a rampage in a not so heroic manner, more like the way befitting a cold-blooded murderer.
The flagship's Cannon pointed right at the Enlightenment, right at Alucard who was in front of it.
*BOOM!!*
*BOOM!!*
Alucard could only sigh in irritation seeing how once again, Seras was forsaking his order and attacking the flagship, but their shield was just as strong as hers and couldn't come down easily.
'Master, please be careful. I don't want to lose you.' Her fear-filled voice resounded in his mind, but he once again didn't pay attention to it.
Spreading his hands, myriad shadows started to concentrate in front of him!
Those shadows revolved and twisted madly with hundreds of eyes looking at every single one of the ships, or more like… Every single one of the ship's passengers!
"W-What is that!?"
"What familiar is that!? Give me the information quickly!"
The colonels, lieutenants and soldiers of the enemy army all shouted frantically! looking for answers, what in the heavens is going on!?
What is that ominous and grotesque shadow!?
Alucard's shadow started to expand and separate, creating barriers upon barriers of disgusting goo-like liquid, his shadow.
The eyes revolved scaring everyone present and those who weren't. The darkness had just encroached on the world!

"Fire! Fire it now! Kill that girl!" The commander Krashov ordered in panic! Those eyes! Those eyes were evil! That girl needed to be exterminated! More than Seras Victoria!
But well, even his very eyes were red now.
The soldiers of the ship didn't even need confirmation, even if the commander didn't say anything, they would still unleash any beam, bullet, missile or nuke they had on that girl!
*RUMBLE!*
The massive Cannon came out slowly from the flagship, it was just gigantic with a twenty-metre length and seven-metre thickness!
As a massive black-reddish beam started to load, the enemy's priority was to stop whatever unit tried to stop its charge!
Seras moved everything she could and even prepared to unleash the disruptor once against, but a cold glance from Alucard stopped her in her tracks!
'Who do you think I'm Seras?' He said casually, but his words held killing intent!
'You of all people... is going to underestimate me!?' He finally sends back with wrath, wrath directed at her!
'I'm the Count Dracula! get a grip, Commander Seras Victoria! Weren't you going to show me that you grew up!? You're doing a terrible job!' His words left her breathless.
*BOOOMMMM!!!*
The massive blackish beam was successfully shot, carrying the hopes of the Soviets of eradicating this menacing monster!
But alas…
*BOOOMMM!!!*
When the beam came upon the first layer of Alucard's barrier, the barrier was holed through like it was less than paper!
Alucard grinned madly and rotated his shadow further, extending it more and more.
Out of nowhere, more barriers appeared! Alucard was now using his omnipresence!
*BOOM!!!*
*BOOMM!!*
*BANNG!!*
The beam would keep going and going through the barriers, one, two, ten, twenty!
Kilometre upon kilometre we're covered in an instant but they noticed… The beam was weakening!
Within the Soviet capital, St. Petersburg, the chief engineer of the Novy Soviets cursed upon seeing the hologram!
"Impossible! It's impossible! It can't be stopped, I don't believe it!" The man in his sixties held his head upon witnessing the inconceivable.
It was outrageous!
But the beam kept piercing and piercing until there were only ten barriers remaining, the more the beam approached, the more his ecstasy increased.
All of this happened under Catherine and the mysterious tall woman's visage, their eyes shook upon witnessing the devastation that beam caused!
Anything like that, in their respective worlds, was simply ridiculous! And he was taking that head-on!
Catherine's breath ragged, even if she knew this was just a memory, she couldn't help but get this bad feeling in her heart whenever she saw Alucard.
The beam finally pierced through the last barrier, having lost more than half of its original magnitude!
Alucard's shaking eyes glanced at the incoming laser for the briefest of seconds, and the next thing he did was… To close his eyes and receive it.

The Hero's eyes couldn't help but open widely upon seeing her dear master get washed by the deadly laser.

*BAMM!!*
<Contact with Ionic Blast confirmed. Residual energy... Cleared. Impact magnitude, 5%. Threat Minimal, Initiate counterattack?> Asha reported the commander and asked for directives, but the commander just couldn't hear her voice...
'M-as…ter…' Seras fell on her knees, her red eyes shaking, it can't be, it's impossible.

"Disappointing… Truly disappointing!"

The Hero's eyes shook, and her head robotically turned to the right, at this point she was already kneeling, the disruptor floating by her side.
There, her master stood casually, his eyes lifeless but filled with wrath, wrath fuelled by disappointment!
Catherine's eyes shook as her body trembled, not believing what she just saw. Did her lover just… try to commit suicide? 'It can't be… he was testing the beam, yes. He wanted to see if it was strong as they said. He knows he won't die after all.'
By her side, the tall woman's mind was very different, she could only frown at her 'master' and continue looking.

The world stopped silent. Every soldier, every ship, every spectator.
D-Did that familiar just stop the Ionic Cannon by herself? And she's even standing by the hero as if nothing happened? In fact, even the hero is surprised!?
What the fuck is going on!?
Suddenly, in every single one of the Soviet communication devices, a voice resounded!
"Kill her! Kill her now, she cannot be allowed to live! Even at the cost of your lives! Kill her!" The unknown voice ordered frantically as the officers gulped.
The 'Ionic Cannon' was the Soviet strategic advantage against the Hero of England! It was a sign of balance between the two forces! But now, if they didn't kill that little girl, the balance would be broken!
"Throw as many as needed, every nuke, every missile! Kill her now!" Sadly, they wouldn't get that chance.
*RUMMBLE!!*
Alucard's robe hovered ominously, as the tension in the atmosphere increased severalfold, the soldiers could almost feel themselves weighing a kilogram more.
He didn't even pay attention to Seras expression who was looking at him with disbelief and sadness, his whole mind was clouded with one simple feeling, disappointment.
These ants didn't do the job! In front of him, there were no longer humans, it was just a crowd of useless corpses, dog shit! It's always the same! ALWAYS THE SAME! ALWAYS THE SAME!
With his hands in his pockets, he glanced down at the majestic soviet fleet, his shadow extending forth, slowly but surely, covering the whole left wing!
The ships remained in the offensive under the automatic fire, but the mind of the officers wasn't in that place.
"Commander, we have to retreat! Something is wrong!" The voice of a lieutenant took the soviet commander out of his reverie.
"W-What do you mean, what's going on!?" He asked, but then he saw it…
Dozens of kilometres, of land in the perimeter… Divided by a small border that divided the left wing from the right wing.
The left wing, all of fucking it, the ground, the ships… there was darkness and eyes everywhere!!!
EYES, EYES! RED EYES!!! LOOKING AT THEM!
'Oh my God, have mercy.' Those were the words of every single person witnessing this… Today was the day the Soviets knew Hell!
One that was needed was a phrase from the Count, and a party of blood and livers would begin, his face contorted, his jaws curled, his whole self screamed, he could see them all!
Alucard gloves shone with a bleeding pentagram, as his mad laughter resounded on the battlefield together with the lasers and rockets!
"GIVE ME YOUR SOULS!" The count billowed and spread his arms!
*RUMBLE!!*
The darkness spread forth and the walls started!
"UGHAAAAAA!!!!"
"AAHGG!!!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Tens, dozens, hundreds, thousands! Hundreds of thousands!!
Every single eye transformed into a spear that impaled whatever was nearby!
*BOOM!!!*
"UAGHH!!! HEL-P UGAHH!!!"
Blood, Wails, Destruction.
"Do you enjoy this spectacle humans? This party of blood!? Do you like it huh!? Sit tight as I introduce my art to the new generations! YOU LIKE WAR, DON'T YOU?! THIS IS THE ART OF WAR THAT YOUR ANCESTORS KNEW!" His voice retorted with infinite madness and resentment! loud enough for everyone in the world to hear!
"LET'S CONTINUE THE PARTY, SCREAM FOR ME AS YOU FEAR THE HERO'S PROWESS, SERAS VICTORIA!"
Seras' eyelids shook violently, looking at her maniac master, he was posing as her familiar to the rest of the world, making sure to settle her position as absolute in everyone's hearts.
Gigantic spears pierced through everything! Humans, machines, everything was obliterated!!!
The wails of despair covered the world, every single television, every single communicator, every single citizen and all of them could only feel one thing.
Breathtaking, corporeal and palpable, heavy... despair… knowing that above them all there is this little girl, overseeing, capable of ending their life at any moment in the most deranged of ways and there is nothing they can do... no one can protect them.
Not even the hero, because this is her darkness.
This day, the world knew the darkness deep within the light. The world's light, Seras Victoria, held such deep and unfettered darkness inside of herself.
Your saviour could also be your worst nightmare.
