Kapitel 51: A Seductive Cacodemon (2)

 Back inside the Duke's mansion, the atmosphere in Richard's household remained peacefully quiet as it had in the early morning. Oliver and Isabella were sitting together in one of the couches as she attentively attended to something the youngest Lord of the house had asked based on the political book he was holding.

Frederick was supervising the servants who dutifully cleared the rest of the dishes in the dining room. Such peaceful times in the house was one of the things Frederick had come to cherish, and he was going to enjoy it while it lasted before another storm brewed in.

One of the female servants who was taking a tray back to the kitchen, accidentally felt the tray slip from her grip to the ground. The sound of the tray hitting the tiled ground with a loud unstable rhythm had caught the attention of those in the living room, dining and in the Kitchen.
