Christmas surprises

Christmas arrived, and it bummed me that Brandon wouldn’t be here. I sucked it up and celebrated, anyway. I got dressed and came downstairs to breakfast. Mom and Dad were acting goofier than usual if that’s even possible.

I sat down next to Coop, who was eating.

/"How long have they been acting this way?/" I asked.

/"For over an hour, Mom and Dad have been singing every single Christmas song imaginable. It’s disturbing if you ask me./"

I looked at him and our parents.

Dad brought over a plate of pancakes and bacon. Mom brought over the rest of the food. They sat down and joined us. We ate breakfast then went into the living room to open gifts. Coop and I received clothes, gift cards, and other items. We gave our parents their presents while Dad handed Mom a present.
