Britt and I walked into class and sat down in our seats as our students came into class. The professor walked in and started writing on the magic erase board.

/"Social diversity,/" the professor announced, turning to face the class. /"What is social diversity, and how does it factor into a story? Glad that you asked./"

We laughed.

/"Social diversity is a classification of different ethnic and racial backgrounds. You are of a distinct race and have a different ethnic background. The definition of race is different physical characteristics that a person inherits. Observable traits of skin color, cranial features, or type of hair,/" the professor explained.
