Kapitel 11: A Party (11)
*Schwing*
"Doublade, use Iron Slash." I call out. Doublade hearing me uses [Iron Defence] and heads towards Ponyta.
"Ponyta, [Flamethrower]!" The opposing kid shouts reacting accordingly to my attack. Ponyta getting a get embers near its mouth let's out a breath of fire towards Doublade.
*Swroshh!* a roaring flame could be seen heading towards Doublade's direction.
-[Shadow Sneak]- I commanded Doublade just before the Ponyta attacked. Doublade sinking into the ground dodges the attack entirely.
"Nice one Ponyta!" My opponent shouts in glee. But to his displeasure a few seconds later Doublade pops up behind Ponyta.
*Boom* Doublade successfully sneaking up on Ponyta gets a direct hit sending the zponyta to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Winner, Aichi Sendou!" A man with a referee outfit shouts out announcing the results.
"That was impressive."
"What Pokemon is that mum?"
"OHKO!"
"He has a bright future."
Multiple voices could be heard speaking after witnessing me victory. The kid now with a downtrodden look retrieves his Ponyta and goes back to his parents.
"That was amazing sweetie. I didn't know you could battle like that!" My mother squeals our while giving me a bone crushing hug.
"Mum there are others around." I say "embarrassed" with a blush on my face. There were a lot of influential people from Kanto at this location right now.
Mostly rich people but you get the point. They were all gathered to this party hosted by Mark Holler, the owner of the Pokeball factory in Kalos.
After the talk Mark decided to have a small tournament between the kids for a lifetime 5% discount which I just won.
*Giggle*
"Is my little boy shy now." My mum says teasing me.
"But I'm a big boy now." I say looking away with a pout. My mother smile widening, she starts to hug me even tighter.
Dad was somewhere else talking to others about some business.
My dad wasn't someone who talked about what technology his private company (Streamline) worked on but I was able to find out today.
He was the person who made the Smartphone. He hasn't made the Rotom-phone yet as I've seen the prototype designs but in the future he will definitely succeed.
He is talking with a person called Jacq right now about implementing the Pokedex into the phone, it's a pretty smart idea I gotta hand it to him.
This is something I believe will pop off in the future as of course smart phones back on earth did amazing.
'I could take advantage of this and make an app.' I thought to myself. Making an app like Facebook and YouTube could net me heaps of money. Money isn't really a needed thing right now but who would turn down free money.
My family is already well off but I want to have my "own" money to spend outside of my parents vision. Things like illegal auction houses exist everywhere so I might buy some Pokemon in the future.
"Mum can I make a communication app?" I asked her as I wanted her opinion on this. While my dad made the smartphone and its features like its display and specs, my mother made the apps, settings and some cosmetics to sell with the smartphone.
"But why sweetie, there's already an app that lets you call people in your region." She responds with a confused look.
I ended up just telling her the base idea of it and would explain more later on.
I found out though that my app would be limited in range of a single region. So you can't communicate to other regions, this could be improved in the future though.
The idea of being able to make "letters" to people online and other being able to see it at real time was quite unique to say the least, my mother wanted to hear me out.
A few more hours pass as the party started to die out a little with people starting to leave with tired looks with their kids.
It was quite the weird experience but it wasn't too bad.
"Aichi you wanna go eat some sea food? I heard the Magikarps here are great from Jacq." My dad said as we all went to leave the building.
As we were going to exit though another person starts to walk up to us. A tall, medium built man with short black hair and dark eyes can be seen heading our way.
My dad telling us to stop for a second starts to look towards the man with a lax look but you could see that he was tensed up.
'That's Giovanni.'
I thought to myself.
-Master, that guy has at least two Pokemon in his shadows and they're stronger than me-
I heard Doublade say in our link with a shaky voice.
-Calm down it will be alright-
I consoled Doublade. He might not be as strong right now but with enough training he won't need to fear anyone
"Greetings Sendou's, it's been a while since we've last talked. This is your child I presume." Giovanni says calmly while bringing his attention towards me.
"Yes it's been a bit since our last conversation, this is my son Aichi and he's 10 years old. He's an aspiring trainer." My dad tells him with a proud look.
"An aspiring trainer you say? If he was born in Kanta he would already be out in the gym circuit causing chaos." Giovanni says with a grin. "I'm able to sponsor your son in you want, my doors will always be open to the Sendou family. Of course I offer more than money, a strong starter like a Phanpy and Sandile." He says with confidence. My dad getting a complicated look tries to respond but not before I do.
"I thi-"
"If I need a sponsor, I'll be the one to contact you." I tell him with a quiet but clear voice.
After a few goodbyes later my family make our way back to our hotel to rest for the day.
