Chapter 327: Dragon
The blue dragon flew her way at great speed.
"Okay, so he saw me. Get ready, Vivi!" she told herself. "Come fight me, Kaidou! Here I am!" She opened her arms.
The dragon looked at her and opened its mouth.
"Are you going to breathe fire from that distance?" Despite its speed, the dragon was still quite far from her.
She saw a flash of light forming in its maw, and the next instant… a concentrated heat beam came out of its mouth and landed on the spot where she had been standing.
Vivi's upper torso went flying into the air while her lower torso was completely missing, along with everything else in the area.
"You vaporized half my body! That was a freaking laser! What kind of dragon is this?" she had expected a flame breath, but not this.
Vivi manipulated the nearby clouds and absorbed an immense amount of water from them to restore her body.
The dragon kept approaching but didn't seem like it was going to shoot at her again.
'That move must take a toll on him. There is no way he can keep shooting those lasers over and over,' Vivi assumed.
She let him close the gap while she prepared her own attack.
Laid out arrival had also brought a lot of dark clouds that were filled with water. "I can make use of that."
From the clouds, hundreds of ice spears started shooting out in the dragon's direction.
Kaidou gave out a grunt as the spears impacted his body, but he was too far away for Vivi to discern if she was making any serious damage.
She launched another barrage of spears.
Instead of trying to avoid them, Kaidou did something she didn't expect.
"Enough!" Kaidou transformed into his human form and roared with pure rage.
His Conqueror's Haki was ignited and exploded out, destroying all her spears and pushing all the clouds away.
He landed on the ground, breaking it and creating a giant crater.
Kaidou jumped out of the hole and landed in front of Vivi before lifting his iron club and held it over his right shoulder.
Kaidou's body was massive, standing at least seven meters tall.
His bare chest and arms were covered in small cuts.
It was clear that these fresh wounds had been inflicted by Vivi's spears but were quickly disappearing.
'He heals as fast as I do… maybe faster,' Vivi thought.
"First I have to deal with Linlin and now you… why do those dangerous women keep making my life harder?" Kaidou huffed with a mix of anger and annoyance.
Vivi was taken by surprise. She didn't expect him to react like this casually to her crew's invasion of his territory.
"Hip… brugg…." Kaidou made some weird noises and lost his balance for a second.
"Are you drunk?" Vivi was baffled. She had only met one other person this careless in her life… and that was her own Captain.
"So what if I drank a bit?" Kaidou got defensive. "I can drink all I want!" He shouted.
"Okay… maybe I sh-"
Vivi felt some movement in front of her and before she could move her eyes, Kaidou was in front of her, swinging his massive club at her head.
She did not have time to do anything except let the attack go through her and divide her body into two.
The Emperor had sent the clouds away so she could not use those anymore.
There were no underground sources of water, and the river was too far away. It would take her some time to bring enough of that water here. 'I'll have to work with what I already have.
The two Vivis extended their hands at him. "Shotgun!"
Their arms exploded into a barrage of ice pellets.
Kaidou blocked most of them with his weapon, and the few that impacted his body left very tiny cuts that were instantly healed.
Once her attack was over, the Emperor answered with an incredibly fast horizontal swing of his club.
It hit her clone, but she managed to avoid it.
The clone was completely destroyed despite being made of water.
'There is something on that metal club… armament haki? No, it feels more potent than that.
'If that hits me directly, it could be trouble.'
She extended her senses and picked up the auras of Sanji and the rest.
They were already a good distance away. But it was better to be sure.
'I only need to hold him for a minute or two more, then I'll make my escape.'
