Kapitel 77: A new dungeon discovery (4)
I thrusted my sword forwards and pierced it through the wolf's skull before ripping it out and kicking its corpse away from me, landing on the ground with a small thud. Jayden was still throwing the wolves around the place while using his fists to inflict damage upon them. I had to use [Flash steps] multiple times to grab the wolves Jayden had thrown in Tess's direction to avoid her getting hit.
"Jayden, you really need to be more aware of where you are throwing the wolves. You would have hit Tess quite a few times by now if I hadn't caught them or if Tess didn't dodge them in time. It's easy for me to avoid them but not so much for others." I said while trying to be considerate towards others. I then struck a wolf in its front legs causing it to Yelp before shooting an air bullet at its skull, in between its eyes.
"Who cares! Just pay more attention to your surroundings and you won't get hit. Probably." Jayden replied as a wolf pounced at him resulting in Jayden falling to the ground and grabbing the wolf by the neck, "Damn! You stupid wolf, get off me!"
'I think you need to pay more attention to your surroundings if you're going to get pounced on by a wolf and not realise that it was coming at you in the first place.' I thought to myself, jumping backwards to avoid a wolf that was charging right at me which fire spiralling around its legs.
'Just a random passing thought but I wonder if I could manipulate the elements of others. That could be.. interesting? Fun perhaps?'
I stared at the wolf, blank faced, and tried feeling how the wolf manipulated the mana around itself. How it manipulated the mana to make it form into the element it desired.
Every creature has mana veins. They would allow mana to pass through them and then you have to use your will to manipulate said mana into what you wish it to be. The only downside is your affinity to the elements and your aptitude with that certain affinity or affinities. The lower your aptitude the harder it is to manipulate the elements and make it morph to your will. In addition to this, if you didn't have the affinity for that element then your mana veins and your will wouldn't be able to form it how you wanted. It would be impossible. The mana wouldn't understand your 'commands' sent through by your will and therefore the mana would completely disregard it, thus making nothing happen. A failed attempt.
Only if you do have that affinity for the element you wish to form you can imbue the mana with your will and make it do as you wish, consuming your MP as it does so. Once the mana has been imbued with your will it cannot be changed by another 'command' and can only be dispelled or destroyed by another spell as a counter. I want to try imbue it with another will, override the existing 'command' the mana has been given.
For me, I have something no one should or could have. I have every element all at the highest affinity known. I could form miracles no one else could do long as I willed it and of course if I had enough MP to do such a thing like that.
If you wish to know how much MP you have that knowledge in your status and to see it then simply going to an adventurer guild will make you be able to see your status. Each and every guild will have a crystal that allows you to see your status while I have the system for that making it unnecessary for me to check at a guild.
MP is the amount of mana that your body can hold in your mana veins. The higher your MP the more mana you can use in your mana veins. Your mana veins are smaller than thread, they are microscopic and they cannot grow in size. If your wondering how you can fit more mana into your mana veins when your MP increases is simple. The mana with condense itself and allow more to enter. If you wanted to try and go over that certain limit your MP has set then it would be impossible and even if you managed to do that then the mana in those veins would go rampant and destroy your body inside out.
The fact I have all the elemental affinities at the highest aptitude with a system that allows me to do things no one else can makes me an anomaly. Something that shouldn't exist. I'm exactly that though. Something that shouldn't exist. I've lived a life before this one that I cannot remember but I know how I came about my death and I have been reborn by a goddess that I can communicate to through my dreams. That, if you haven't guessed, isn't normal in the slightest.
The only way to communicate to gods is if you are high ranking in a church and have an affinity to celestial magic or have learnt light magic though communicating to the gods when you have light magic has a lower success rate than with celestial. While you pray you would be able to hear the gods voices if they want to speak with you and if your lucky and get an oracle then and only then will the gods appear in your dreams. The only way that you can get an oracle would be if you're the saint or saintess. I'm relatively sure that I'm not the saintess. I'd hope.
The point is that I'm not sure if me being able to manipulate others already formed mana is something that should be possible as I've never heard nor read someone attempting this. It could reveal something about me and I don't want that.
'Well let's just try it out and if it works it works, if it doesn't then it doesn't. I'm not expecting much so either way is fine with me.' I thought as I cleared my mind and focused on my opponent.
"Tess if any wolves come flying at you then you'll have to dodge them yourself for now." I said with my eyes closed.
As I focused the sounds around me dimmed and when I opened my eyes the only thing I could focus on was the wolf in front of me. My opponent and target for this test of sorts.
I still had [Mastered spacial awareness] active so I knew what was happening around me subconsciously through the constant use of that skill making it part of my instincts.
I took a relaxed stance and straightened myself. If anyone looked at me then they would realise me eyes began to brighten in colour, shining with a red sliver of colour through my, now brighter, purple iris.
Time began to slow, or that's what it seemed to be but it was just my thought process speeding up. I started to feel the mana fluctuations produced by the wolf and lifted up my arm. Concentrating my mana at the front of my hand and sending element-less or 'pure' mana towards the wolf. I felt the mana around the wolf and the mana resting in its mana veins before taking control of it.
I imbued my will into the mana that held the command which formed the fire that swirled around the wolf's legs and sent it my own command.
The command I sent to the mana and the one that it now holds was as follows, 'Change, become my mana and engulf the wolf with fire. Spread from the wolf's paws, legs, torso to its head and tail before breaking apart its fur, skin, flesh and all the way down to its bone.'
The fire that was constantly swirled around the wolf's legs seized its movement, halting before wrapping itself around the wolf's paws. The fire slowly spread, going up its legs and down its torso. The wolf's entirety was covered in the flames that were once controlled by itself but overridden by me.
Time returned to normal once I had finished sending my will and 'commands' to the mana. The wolf stopped its charge as it felt its fur burn off and its skin begin to break down. The wolf squirmed and growled in a low tone.
'It seems I have managed to do it. I guess it's not impossible anymore.' I thought as I watched the wolf burn to nothing but bone with a straight face that showed nothingness and held not a trace of emotion, even at the sight in front of me.
The fire stopped once it reached the bone and the mana then scattered into the atmosphere, returning to its 'pure' state. My eyes also returned to how they were before without a single trace of that red from before.
"What in the hell was that?!" Jayden shouted with his head in my direction, "Hahaha did that wolf just commit suicide or something? It must've been out of its mind if it used its own spell against itself." He said as he pinched a wolf right in its nose making it whimper.
"That was weird." Tess said as she killed another of the fire dire wolves and looked over at me.
"Very odd." I nodded and looked down at the bones. "Wonder what happened." I said knowing all the well that it was from my doing.

This skill allows you to overcome your current status for a total of 15 minutes. It allows you to forcefully increase all stats by 800 points and will return to normal once the skill has finished. This skill has a cool down of 16 hours and will cause immense stress on the body. The total time it can be active can increase over the time you possess this skill and the cool down will decrease along with that though both will only change by small amounts.

You have complete control over mana. Your 'commands' set by your will upon mana will override any other 'commands' the mana was set previously. No other 'command' can override yours as yours is considered the 'supreme command' and will go though no matter the circumstances.

'Don't I already have the highest possible aptitude for the elements though?' I thought upon glancing at the bonus I gained from my new title [The anomaly].
