Kapitel 59: Tournament, (6)
(Kiera POV)
"We will now move onto the final battle between Kiera and Mio!" Callum shouted.
I was already at the centre of the arena since I had to interfere with Tess's battle before she got fatally injured so all I had to do was wait for Mio.
"This will be the finale so I expect you to both go all out." Callum said with a smile.
"Gladly." Mio said as she came to the centre and held her daggers at the ready in a reverse grip.
"Depends on how this fight goes." I said.
'I'm not going all out but depending on the fight I might have to reveal another element.'
I saw Tess and Mio's fight. Mio was holding back the whole time so I can't accurately gauge her strength.
"I'm sure you'll have to go all out against me. Don't take this spar lightly." Mio chuckled a little before taking focus.
"Are you both ready?" Callum said with a big grin on his face. You could tell he was excited for this fight.
"I am." I replied.
"Same here." Mio said.
"If that's the case then you may.." Callum waited for a second before yelling, "BEGIN!"
I wanted to test the waters so I sent an air bullet with less than an eighth of my power at Mio.
"Haha what's this?" Mio said giggling a little before easily dispelling my air bullet.
"Thought so." I said.
I already knew she would be able to dispel it but I still wanted to test her. I could always use [Inspect] but I didn't want to use it in spars but only in serious battles or inspecting items, monsters or perhaps someone I find suspicious or sense danger from.
"I'll do the same then." Mio said.
She then created a bullet made of earth and compressed it as much as possible while making the tip of the bullet extremely sharp.
'I can easily destroy that or dodge it. Either way it's very weak. Let's test the power then, I'll let myself get hit.' I thought to myself.
The bullet made of the earth element came zooming at me and hit my upper part of my right arm. The impact didn't pierce deep into my skin but made a little bruise and a very small amount of blood trickled from it.
"Hm? You didn't want to dodge or block but see how much strength I put in that, yes?" Mio said with a approving smile.
"Correct." I said.
I then transformed Adonis which I hadn't done yet and encased it with my flames to make an [Inferno] [Fire blade] and I still had [Wind enhancer] and [Lightning enhancer] active so there was no need for me to re-activate those skills.
I took into consideration that I had [Elemental resistance] which made elemental attacks against me weaker by three fold so I tripled how much damage Mio's earth bullet inflicted on me to get a more accurate gauge of her strength.
'That would have cut my skin.' I thought.
It wouldn't have been a big wound but it's a wound none the less.
"Well shall we begin?" Mio said as she adjusted her weight to leap at me.
I began reading each small movement she made and which of her muscles contracted and relaxed.
'She will jump at me and swing with her left dagger at my left side and kick me in my abdomen. I think.' I thought to myself as I thought of a counter. 'I'll just use [Flash steps] and get behind her then use it again to go on her right side as she probably knows that I'm going to try get behind her. Unless I'm overestimating her.'
She leapt at me and just as I thought, used her left dagger and aimed at my upper arm on my left side and angled her leg to kick at my abdomen. Using the quickly put together plan I made I used [Flash steps] and got behind her then to her right side.
I then swung Adonis at her side in a diagonal, bottom left to top right, slash but she quickly erected a thin stone wall between us.
It didn't stop my blade though and I just slashed right through and sent of a blade made of wind at Mio.
Mio jumped up and went over the wind blade so I followed her and jumped as well. I kicked at her while in the air and she blocked it with the flat side of her daggers before pushing my foot away and slashing down with both daggers.
Her daggers where coming down at me in an 'X' or a cross shape with one overlapping the other so I held up Adonis to block it.
She slammed her daggers onto my blade and I went flying back down to the ground and landed on my feet with Mio landing just after me and creating earth spikes from beneath me and in a circle around me.
Mio probably though I would jump away but I used [Flash steps] and got out before slashing vertically at her from her head downwards.
Mio created a shield in front of her and I slashed at it making a rather large crack in it. I applied more pressure on the shield to break through but Mio was already away from my blade. She then used the ground below her and made it rise upwards making a platform for her to stand on high up.
"How are you feeling down there?" She called out.
I didn't respond and jumped into the air and made myself hover there at the same height as her.
"Impressive I've never seen people do things like this with the air element but the thing is.. how long can you keep yourself up here while dodging all of these?" She said as she made numerous swords, spears, axes, hammers, maces, mallets, clubs, halberds, daggers and machetes out of her earth element and aimed them all at me.
She fired them off in groups of 5 at a time while creating more and more. Air probably wouldn't help to much but I could blow them off course and fire wouldn't do too much to help in this scenario so I'll use my lightning.
I transformed Adonis back into its crystal like form that is imbedded in my hand and created multiple sparks of lightning that hovered above my hand.
I then focused on what I wished my lightning to do which was destroy all earth weapons that are thrown my way. My lightning morphed and gathered above me before zapping out lightning strikes that were each aimed at a different earth weapon Mio had created.
The groups she fired off didn't make it close to me and they were all destroyed by my lightning so Mio began to consume more of her MP and created more weapons to fire off.
Groups of 10 weapons were now coming at me in quick succession.
'Should I just strike her with lightning instead? It'll be quicker that way.'
