Kapitel 3: Chapter 3: Personal Attendant

Draco was very disappointed. He closed the book and sighed. You could see how disappointed he was just by looking at his face.

In the back room, Draco put a book in his pocket without anyone noticing. This was not a normal book. It contained information about Dark Arts.

After Pansy left, Draco went back to his bedroom and started reading the book.

Draco strongly believes that there is no such thing as "evil" magic. It all depends on the person using it and their intentions. Some powerful magic is considered "Dark" or forbidden in order to maintain stability in the wizarding society, but Draco thinks this is a step backward.

He reads this forbidden book without any moral qualms, and because of his excellent memory and understanding, he is able to comprehend it quickly.

Unfortunately, Draco didn't find what he was looking for in the book.

In his previous life, he had only learned bits and pieces of information about various subjects.

Draco sees magic as a tool, similar to the concept of technique in traditional Chinese culture, used to achieve a specific purpose.

However, he is more interested in understanding the essence of magic, or the "Dao," the fundamental principles behind it.

What is the nature of magic and how does it function? Does it grow and improve over time? When a spell is cast, what is consumed - mental power or magical power?

In the original book, fake Moody demonstrated a death spell to the students, but assured them that they would only experience nosebleeds at most due to their lack of a strong magic foundation. But what exactly is this magic foundation? Is it a store of knowledge, innate magical ability, willpower, or some combination of these factors?

Draco had hoped to find answers in the book, but it only contained information about small curses and legends of ancient black magic. This left him disappointed.

"Ah~" Draco stretched and yawned, feeling a bit sleepy. His young body needed rest, and he had had a tiring day. He didn't want his growth to be affected by a lack of sleep, so he went to bed after washing up.

Before going to bed, Draco thought about the kiss he had with Pansy earlier that day. He had mixed feelings about it, but ultimately decided that it was a satisfying experience.

As he lay in bed, Pansy's shy and fierce expression kept running through his mind. He touched his forehead with his hand, feeling a little confused.

He wondered if it was wrong to feel this way, but then he reminded himself that it was not always him who lost out in the end. He didn't give it much more thought and eventually fell asleep.

As Malfoy fell asleep, Pansy's room in Hector's Manor was not quite right.

"Little liar, you're obviously not dumb cannon, but you didn't explain and made me look bad on purpose," Pansy said angrily to her plush bear, as if it were an enemy.

"You also deliberately brought me to a scary, dark place and didn't use magic to light the room earlier. Same age as me are always pretending to be more polite than everyone else, but they're just full of bad intentions." Pansy tore off the ear of the toy as she spoke to herself

" But I'm not very good at hurting people," Pansy thought to herself. If she were to seek revenge on Draco, she would have to teach him a lesson.

However, their relationship was already strained, and it wouldn't be good for Pansy's self-esteem to accept her fake father's help in getting revenge.

She decided she would have to rely on herself to take care of it.

So Pansy decided to put on a self-directed drama in order to save face and set the stage for their next meeting.

It's true that women are natural actors. Even though Pansy is still a young girl, her acting skills are not at all inferior.

"Anyway, I have your weakness now. I don't believe you won't come after me. I'll make sure to torture you well next time," Pansy thought to herself, smiling at the thought of getting revenge on Draco.

"This miss first kiss wasn't so easy to get," Pansy thought, her cheeks suddenly turning red as she remembered the kiss.

"But that little liar is still quite handsome," Pansy couldn't help but think.

"No, I can't have a soft heart. If he dared to bully me, I'll definitely bully him back," Pansy resolved, deciding that the desire for revenge would prevail in the end.

In a short amount of time, Pansy's thoughts had changed a lot. While she was still upset, there was a knock at the door.

"Pansy, it's late, you should go to sleep. You must be tired after today," said the voice of Pansy's mother.

"Okay, Mom," Pansy replies.

"The next time I see you, I'm going to give you a hard time," Pansy adds, still unable to resist pulling the ears of her stuffed bear before going to bed. It makes her feel better.

~~

The night passed quickly and the sound of an alarm clock woke Draco up in the morning.

As an adult in mind, he is very disciplined and knows he needs to use his time wisely in order to become stronger before starting Hogwarts.

He makes a plan and sticks to it so he doesn't waste any time.

Draco opened his sleepy eyes and got out of bed, ready to start the day.

Suddenly, he heard a creaking sound from the door. Lucius, his father, opened the door and entered the room, but he looked a little upset.

"You need to put your plans aside for today. Your mother wants you to meet someone and get to know a new friends," Lucius said in a tense voice.

Last night, Lucius and Narcissa had a disagreement. Narcissa has always been unhappy with the way Draco is being educated.

She feels that he spends too much time in the study room and doesn't have enough energy for a teenager. In her view, the more lively and cute the child is, the better.

She thinks it's silly for him to spend all day reading books, but this is just her opinion.

In Lucius' eyes, Draco is extremely talented and has the potential to be even more successful than the Dark Lord or Dumbledore in the future.

He believes that Draco is enjoying himself as well.

However, women are known for being unreasonable. Narcissa has a strong influence at home and after many arguments, Lucius had to compromise and find two playmates for .

Of course, he also has his own reasons for doing this.

Eventually, Draco will go to Hogwarts and it will be inconvenient for him to be alone. Finding two followers now is a good choice.

Plus, he already has a good candidate in mind.

However, as the head of the family, Lucius still wants to express his dissatisfaction properly, so his tone is naturally not very friendly.

"Finish getting ready and follow me. You may be together for a long time in the future," Lucius says coldly.

"Okay, Father," Draco replies.

He can't help but think to himself, 'I bet these are Crabbe and Goyle. I can't believe Malfoy is willing to call them friends. How can I be friends withsomeone without intelligence?'

Now, Draco is not very interested in playing follow-up games because he knows that magic is the ultimate goal he needs to pursue.

"It's just Mom's good intentions. I'll go along with it," Draco thinks to himself. He has a lot of love for his mother and knows that she cares about him deeply.

In the original book, she even hides the truth about his life and death in order to protect him.

In everyday life, she is also very indulgent and almost always gives in to his requests. Draco doesn't want to go against her mother good intentions.

Draco thinks to himself, 'I guess I'm going to meet my two new followers now.'

He follows Lucius to the living room and sees Narcissa sitting on a luxurious sofa, with Crabbe and Goyle standing beside her.

The fathers of Crabbe and Goyle were once Death Eaters, but in terms of status, Lucius is naturally the highest of the three.

After all, wealth and power are often used to evaluate a person in the world. Voldemort needed powerful allies at the time and certainly had to rely on Lucius' help.

Even after Voldemort fell, Lucius' position in the magic world remained strong. This naturally determined that Draco would be the mainstay of future activities, as described in the original book.

Crabbe has a chunky build and short, spiky hair. Gower is taller and has short, stiff hair. Both of them have one thing in common, which is that their arms are longer than those of ordinary people. They have a body shape that is similar to that of gorillas.

Draco thinks to himself, 'How can I be friends with people who look like a muscle head ?'

But he still walks over to Narcissa's side and greets her. He can't help but look at the two of them as well.

"My dear, I know you must be bored spending all day and night in the study. Your father is really too hard on you. It's so pitiful before you even go to school. But today I found two playmates for you. They are the sons of your father's friends. I believe you will have a good time together in the future," Narcissa says, exaggerating her dissatisfaction with Lucius. She then introduces Draco to Crabbe and Goyle.

"This is Vincent Crabbe," Narcissa says, pointing at the chubby boy.

"Hello, how do you do," Crabbe says, stuttering a little out of nervousness or perhaps it's a natural behavior.

"This is Gregory Goyle," Narcissa says, pointing to the slightly taller child.

Compared to Crabbe, Goyle performs better and greets Draco, but he still seems a bit cautious.

Whether in human society or wizard society, people have to accept the existence of social class.

Power and money determine a person's class. In the wizarding world, twisted pedigrees may also play a role.

Crabbe and Goyle's fathers used to be Lucius' "comrades-in-arms" or followers. This relationship is inevitably passed down to the next generation.

In their homes, their parents probably instilled a lot of these ideas in them. That's why their attitudes towards Malfoy are not normal for their peers.

As for Draco, he doesn't really want to play any kind of companionship or friendship games. However, it is still good to use them purely as errand runners.

Of course, Draco still performs impeccably and says, "I am Draco Malfoy. Welcome to my house as guests. I think we should be able to get along well in the future."

Narcissa is happy to see her son finally make two "friends" of the same age and a smile appears on the corner of her mouth.

Later, in order to fool Narcissa, Draco had to pretend to be a teenager with an active heart and play games with Crabbe and Goyle.

He found a few games in his memory and even enjoyed himself for a while. This did allow Draco to briefly escape from the sea of books.

However, at the same time, he also found a serious problem.

"It's true that they have developed limbs but simple minds," Draco thinks to himself, slightly out of breath.

Compared to the two of them, Draco realizes that their talents may have been focused on physical fitness.

Even after the same amount of exercise, Malfoy was already feeling tired, but Crabbe and Goyle were just as energetic as before.

"I can't neglect physical training," Draco thinks to himself.

Although Narcissa's arrangement today disrupted Draco's learning plan, it also allowed him to identify an area where he needs to improve.

In the battle between wizards, it's not just about magic spells and wands. Physical fitness is also a top priority! A flexible body and strong physique are important factors. What's the use of a powerful curse that can't hit the target?

This isn't an online game where the spell automatically hits.

In the wizarding world, being able to avoid an attack even once can make the difference between success or failure, or even life and death.

"Knowledge is power, but I can't neglect my physical body," Draco thinks to himself.

"It seems like I really can't just bury myself in books."

In his previous life, Draco was actually very athletic, otherwise it would have been impossible for him to save a child from the bottom of a car.

However, it may be the impact of crossing over. The allure of magic is too great for someone who has never been in contact with it before and it can make him forget about exercising.

"I hate those pale-faced guys the most," Draco shakes his head and smiles wryly. He also reaffirms his determination to exercise.

"It looks like I need to add one more daily activity."

As he watches the three of them having fun in the open space, Narcissa can't help but smile. "This is childhood. Staying in the room all day and night reading is silly,"

Narcissa says to Lucius. "Look how happy he is"

Lucius has also relaxed and put away his stiff expression.

He says lightly, "He's just happy."

Time passed quickly and it was noon before they knew it.

Exercise naturally requires a lot of energy and the best way to replenish it is through food.

The man in the manor has already prepared lunch.

However, looking at Crabbe, Goyle, and the "rich" meals on the table, Draco really doesn't have an appetite.

"I haven't gotten used to it in eight years," he thinks to himself.

As a noble in the wizarding society, Draco has experienced the highest level of life and should have reached the peak of enjoyment in terms of food and clothing. But the word "eat" is an exception.

As a person with a love for Chinese cuisine in his heart, he may not be able to fully accept British cuisine for a lifetime.

There may not be any truly dark dishes like in Chinese cuisine, but Draco can't help but suspect that he is almost losing his taste facing potatoes and fish day after day.

Other examples include roasted tomatoes, blood pudding, sausages, beans, and grilled mushrooms. These dishes may be fresh to eat once, but it is still difficult to accept them more often.

Draco stares blankly at the dish in front of him and humorously thinks to himself, "I don't know if there is an old godmother in this world. But even if she were here in this scene, it would be too inconsistent."

"What's wrong, baby? Are you feeling unwell?" Narcissa sees that Draco hasn't touched his food and asks if he feels uncomfortable.

"Oh, Mother, I'm just too excited. I made two new friends and haven't recovered yet," Draco lies, not wanting to tell the truth. He immediately takes a dessert nearby and says he's fine.

"That's really great," Narcissa smiles and puts two more puddings on Draco's plate.

"Sometimes ignorance is also a happiness," Draco looks at the pudding on his plate and shakes his head again.

He admires the two happily eaters and then begins to eat his food.

This meal doesn't last long, especially with the addition of Crabbe and Goyle's impressive food intake. So this dinner quickly end

Crabbe and Goyle won't stay here all the time and after lunch, their parents will take them home.

There must be some politeness between adults.

The two followers left and Draco returned to his study to start the study plan that he had missed earlier that day.

Days seemed to pass steadily, one after another, as Draco continued to accumulate knowledge and also carried out necessary physical exercises with Crabbe and Goyle.

There were no surprises and it seemed that these ordinary days would continue until Draco turned eleven and received his admission letter to Hogwarts.

However, the calm was soon broken.
