Abraham picked the dalki's hand up. Abraham sniffed it a little at first. The blood had a sweet scent with a hint of mint in it, just as described in the book. Fully aware of the effect, he gulped a mouthful of the dalki blood.
As it went down his throat, a weird tingling sensation could be felt in his body when suddenly it stopped. He felt the blood stuck in his throat and at the same time notification started popping.

The system started behaving abnormally. The system looked broken, something totally different when Quinn drank the dalki blood in the original story. In the book, on consuming a one-spike dalki's blood, a vampire would get a 10 percent increase in all stats for a temporary time of one hour. But here Abraham didn't receive that. Just then the system popped a new notification.
[Level 1 Dalki blood has been consumed]
[Option 1]
[A 10 percent increase in all stats. Will last one hour]
[Option 2]
[? unknown effect ?]
[Select an option to proceed further].
"System, do you know do you have any idea what happened, and what about the second option?" Abraham asked.
"No, I'm confused just like you." The system replied rather bluntly. "But I will tell you this. If it did any harm to your body, the system would warn you."
Abraham on the other hand was working his brain to the maximum trying to find the reason behind such a change. In the end, he was able to find a clue and if he was right, then he was expecting so grand change incoming.

[New quest]
[Main Quest: Your dragon's bloodline was awakened since your birth. Absorb 10 unique one-spike dalki's blood to further improve your bloodline.]
[ one-spike dalki blood: 1/10]
[Reward: unknown evolution]
Exactly as Abraham has thought, the quest happened due to his already awaken dragon's energy. Since he discovered the dragon flame energy inside his soul room, Abraham had been trying to further increase it, but it was to no avail. He even try absorbing the beast's crystal he had but even that didn't change his dragon's energy.
Now he finally has found the solution and with dalki's settlement situation, he hoped that it contained at least ten dalki. With his current stats, the quest would be extremely easy.
Abraham circulated his energy and found out that the dalki's blood he drank was no more present inside his body.
The system then informed him that the blood was stored and locked inside his blood bank to be used for the quest reward.
Due to this new quest, he had to rethink all of his future plans. For now, he went towards the ongoing fight between the one-spike dalki and the beast.
This time, Abraham found the battle totally different from what he previously saw. The pincer on one end of the beast was nowhere to be found and it had several areas on its body that were crushed. This was due to the additional spike on the back of the dalki. During the fight against the beast, the dalki evolved into a two-spike monster. Seeing the fight was coming to an end, Abraham decided to step in.
There was something that Abraham wanted to test. If he drank the blood of the dalki again, would it change to a level two inside his system?
"There is only one way to test it." Abraham casually threw a blood swipe killing the advanced beast. The dalki was momentarily frozen but quickly recognize the threat in front of him. Just as it was about to talk, he found that the human was no more visible and he felt a slight pain in his left hand. Due to losing its right hand against the beast, he had only the left arm to fight but trying to figure out what was causing the pain, it found that his left hand was also missing.
It suddenly heard the sound of gulping behind it and when the two-spike dalki turned, fear took over his entire being.
There standing, the human was holding his left arm and was drinking the green blood coming out of it.
"Monster" was the only word the dalki uttered in front of such a situation. He could not comprehend when the human attacked and took his arm.
[two-spike dalki blood consume]
[one-spike dalki blood: 1/10]
[two-spike dalki blood: 1/1]
Abraham turned towards the dalki and gave a bright smile.
"Let's hope you are resilient enough to become a three-spike dalki and will not die in the process"
On seeing that devilish smile and hearing the word coming from the madman, the dalki started to run away from Abraham. If he knew such a madman existed among humans, he would have preferred to not be born.
If the current situation was broadcast to the entire world, everyone would be shocked. It was the first time a dalki was running away from a human.
The dalki's fate was already sealed when Abraham made it a target. It didn't even reach a distance of 5 meters that Abraham was already in front of him.
Controlling his power, Abraham started hurting the dalki. Without any arms, it could not defend itself at all. In the lapse of a few seconds, the whole body of the dalki had become green due to a large amount of blood lost.
On the other end, the dalki found his power increasing until finally, he felt a burst on his back. It had finally become a three-spike dalki. It felt its body going through some changes and felt an immense power rising inside. The feeling was like a drug and the dalki closed its eyes to savor the powerup.
In the meantime, Abraham drank another mouthful of blood from the dalki adding a new tab for spike three. Suddenly, the dalki found all his powerup was leaving his body. He found the human monster was holding him in place and its own energy was going to the human. Abraham was using Qi drain on the dalki. After a minute a dry body fell on the ground.
After taking the advanced beast crystal, Abraham returned to group up with Malia and the others.
On his way, a delicious smell caught Abraham's attention. The smell of human blood. There was only one meaning. Someone among Gwen, Robert, or Malia got injured.
