“What do you mean by understanding the whole truth?” Ryan asked, his attention shifted over to Luca.

Mykel frowned at him, that cold stare returning to his gaze. “It’s just as I said. Desmond introduced me as Luca and while that is correct, it’s only the half truth. My name is Mykel, Luca is the name of the original soul that belonged to this body I occupy now.”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Ryan asked again. His face contorted into confusion and doubt. He glanced over towards Desmond, a silent plea for help.

“Ryan,” Desmond started and paused to look between Mykel and Atlas. Now or never, he reminded himself. “He’s not lying. I did just meet Luca last night but I had no idea at the time that he was really Mykel. Actually, I thought I’d never see Mykel again.”

“Okay, but the way he worded it, it sounded like he died or something,” Ryan said, still confused.
