Kapitel 26: Snow is Here

Upon returning to the Rose manor, Emilia runs to find Dietrich and inform him of her discovery. She checks his bedroom first but nobody is there. She looks in the living room but he isn't there either. Where could he be? She remembers that she didn't tell him that she was leaving this morning and starts feeling guilty. What if he's searching frantically for her again all because she didn't say anything to him before leaving? She shifts, not giving a damn that she's indoors, and searches every room possible in the house. Seventy-eight rooms later and she still can't find him. She sniffs the air, just now remembering that she can just follow his scent. Emilia follows his scent outside and tracks him down at a barn. She enters warily, silently stepping further into the barn.

"Em? What's going on? Is everything alright?" Dietrich asks with concern when he notices her. He runs up to her and inspects her for signs of injury or anything that can tell him why she is shifted. Emilia shifts back and lifts an eyebrow at him. "I was looking everywhere for you, when I couldn't find you I decided to shift to make the search easier. What are you doing here?" She asks curiously while looking around.

"If you're looking for a sign of a companion of some sort, you might as well stop now. It's just me and you here. But what's up? You were looking for me, did something happen?" He asks, his golden eyes swirling with concern. "I went to the mall with Vira and Quin-" She starts but Dietrich interrupts her. "That's great, you're already warming up to them enough to go shopping!" He says with astonishment. Emilia flicks his forehead. "Don't interrupt. Anyways, while we were out, we ran into someone. More specifically, we ran into Winston Snow. Apparently he's been following us this whole time." She explains.

"What do you want to do about it?" Dietrich asks with a masked expression. "Let's leave him be for now. I think ignoring him will make him get the hint." Emilia suggests. Dietrich's shoulders droop with disappointment, part of him wishes that Emilia would show more hatred and anger toward the people who took her away from her biological family.

Emilia taps her chin while thinking about something. Dietrich, on the other hand, seems to have an idea. He moves quickly, not missing a beat, as he pins Emilia up against the wall of the barn. She gulps and stares into his eyes, a mix of confusion and intrigue swirling in her own. He moves his face so close to hers that their lips are nearly touching.

"W-what are you doing so suddenly?" She asks, out of breath. "You said we would talk about it after I got you here, remember?" He says. "Oh, you're right I did say that… But I don't think this qualifies as talking nor does this seem like an appropriate place to have such a conversation." She points out as she recalls their conversation from that day inside the tent.

Emilia's cheeks flush bright red as she also recalls the events that happened during that conversation. The image of Dietrich's hardened cock rubbing against her thigh causing her body to react in a compromising way. She subconsciously shifts her legs, making the smell of her arousal reach Dietrich's nose. His normally golden eyes turn to burning embers of lust as captures her lips with his own.

Emilia tries her hardest to fight it but the overwhelming desire to have her mate claim her wins. She reciprocates the kiss and jumps into his arms. Dietrich uses the position to his advantage as he presses himself against her. Emilia loses control of her senses and pulls Dietrich's shirt off of him. His eyes widen and he tilts his head as if to ask if she was sure about this. She answers his unspoken question by removing her own shirt and kissing him.

Dietrich is so consumed by the bliss of having her accept his advances that he completely forgets the real reason he initiated it. That is, until a sudden punch to his face awakens him to his surroundings. He topples over and drops Emilia. Dietrich looks up and glares at his attacker, Winston Snow.

"What the hell do you think you're doing to my little sister?!" Winston growls angrily. "Not your sister." Emilia says deadpan. "I do believe that I was kissing my mate just now." Dietrich says nonchalantly. "I think you mean you were taking advantage of my sister!" Winston shouts back. "Yeah, no. I'm not your sister, it doesn't matter how many times you say it." Emilia points out with an annoyed expression on her face.

"I'm guessing you knew he was watching us? That's why you chose that moment to make a move on me? It had nothing to do with wanting to talk about that thing from before." Emilia accuses Dietrich, the annoyance in her voice becoming more evident. "Well… Umm, Em it's not exactly like that. What I mean is, I wasn't actually thinking we would get that far before he made himself known." Dietrich says, not realizing that he's making things worse for himself. "I see, my apologies then, Prince Dietrich. Next time I'll make certain that we don't get anywhere near that, okay?" She says with a sickeningly sweet smile that says 'you fucked up buddy.'

Dietrich opens his mouth to speak but Emilia walks away without giving him a chance. He turns his attention over to Winston. "This is your fault." Dietrich growls irritably. He launches himself onto Winston and punches him in the face. Emilia pops back in just in time to witness the scene and rolls her eyes. "Come along, both of you. If Winston is going to be here then we need to at least need to tell father, am I right? So let's go." She pauses and turns to Dietrich with a wicked grin playing on her lips, "You can only blame your own stupidity for this. Grow up and take some responsibility for your actions, dumbass." She turns on her heel and leads the way back to the mansion with two men looking like a pair of sad pups in tow.
