Kapitel 29: Chapter 29: Louanne

Jude didn't mention what he had told Grayson when he woke up. He’d considered it but ultimately decided that if Jude wanted to say it again, he would. Not to mention, it gave Grayson more time to think about how he would respond if Jude did ever say it again. They didn't talk much, just quietly enjoyed being with each other.

Grayson was in a much better mood when he came into work next. He and Amelia high-fived at the successful execution of their plan.

Jude looked much more lively as well, even though his workload was unchanged. Maybe just the thought that his loved ones would go to such lengths to give him one day off was enough to get him out of his funk.

Grayson couldn't say for sure, but he couldn't help but smile every time that he counted himself as one of those loved ones.

It was a crowded day at the bar; with the upcoming festivities, everyone was eager to celebrate early. And what says a celebration is more than day-drinking?
