Kapitel 27: Ghost Flash

Diana's expression turned from one of nonchalance to that of coldness after hearing what August had just said. The air in the room suddenly turned cold and August felt as if he was standing in an icy-cold region although not a single part of his robe had snow on it. He felt as if he was within a block of ice. He realized that it was Diana's doing because of the pressure placed on his spirit.

At the same time, he heard Rhea's voice in his mind. "Master August, you have been hit by a spiritual attack. Preparing countermeasures immediately." The preliminary data that he saw on the screen also showed that the spirit pressure he was enduring just now could severely injure apprentice-level rank-0 sorcerers.

His heart turned cold when he realized this. He was right to be careful around a woman like Diana after all. The moment one was not of use to her or did not seem to challenge her interests, she would get rid of the person.

'She's a vicious woman,' he surmised.
