The birds chirp as a new morning comes around, everyone was asleep but my mother was wide awake.
"Where are you when I need you," my mom said to herself, sitting by the kitchen table and drinking coffee by herself.
"You're never here when I need you Ken," She held back tears as she spoke to herself.
"My kid and his friends are gone, my nephew is also missing."
"Everyone thinks they're dead but.."

She rests her head on the table arms folded around it, crying ugly tears,
