Kapitel 10: I'm Sorry, My WHAT?!?!

Throughout the orientation and the Academy tour, I was with Samuel and Aurona.

...

Though...

...

I couldn't concentrate...

I would pay half answer to what anyone asked me or attention to when people spoke to me.

The whole time my thoughts were focused on the fact that not only did I just regain my actual memories, find out who the fuck I was...BUT NOW I HAVE A FUCKNG FIANCÉ I HAVEN'T EVEN MET BEFORE?!?!?!?!

**This is a joke...this has to be a joke...PLEASE tell me this is a mother fucking joke!** I screamed in my head.

"Um, bro? Your head's somewhere else again..." Samuel's voice said, breaking my thoughts.

I opened my eyes and snapped back into focus.

I was in a class lecture in the back of the classroom, waiting for the professor to show up with my head resting on my hand. Samuel was next to my right, a window was to his right...and Aurona was sitting in front of me a few rows up.

"You good, Darien? You've been spacing out since you found out about Aurona..." Samuel asked while scratching the back of his neck.

I sighed and rubbed my temples.

"Yeah, I'm good. Just... surprised, I guess? I don't know...Like how does a fucking goddess like THAT become my fiancé?" I groan.

Samuel chuckled a bit.

"You forgot, didn't you?" He asks.

I raised an eyebrow making Samuel shrug while he sighed.

"When a new heir is born into any kingdom, that heir is taken to the temple of the spirits. There, the heir is put on an altar, and the kingdom's rulers pray. Based on the child's power level, a spirit will bless that heir with a gift." Samuel explained.

"Did you? And who and with what blessing?" I asked, looking at Aurona from the corner of my eye.

Samuel nodded and grinned.

"Sure did, got blessed by the Spirit of Wrath and was given the blessing of limitless stamina." He said, grinning.

I smirked.

"Now I get why you seem like you're on an adrenaline rush when you're in the arena. " I chuckled.

Samuel laughed.

"You know it, bro, anyway...when you were born, you were born on a memorable day for The Spirit Realms: The Day of The First Elements. We here in the Living Realm don't know much about it other than it is celebrating the day of the first dragon spirits...and...that it isn't a good time to visit the temple. However, it is tradition...and a promise we keep with the Spirit Realms...so your parents went...and the whole Empire prayed, we prayed for your safety. Then, something happened...something crazy..." Samuel paused and nodded over to Aurona.

"The crazy part was 'she' appeared before the altar in front of you and was smiling in her dragon form, saying 'she' was going to bless you...and she was going to accept you by her side when the time came..."

Samuel stopped talking and looked at me with a shaky smile.

"So...she's you're fiancé...and apparently...you uh...you already agreed to her?" He said, scratching the back of his head.

...

...

Huh?

HUH?!

"HUH?! When did I do that shit?! I mean, don't get me wrong! She's smoking hot...BUT STILL WHEN-" I started stuttering out.

Aurona's shoulders started quivering...and then stuttering...until she couldn't hold it in anymore...

She was laughing, and she was laughing so hard that she fell onto the floor.

"Holy fucking hell! Darien!! For fuck sake, I can hear you, dork!" She said through her laughing and wheezing.

My mouth clamped shut, and I looked around the room to see some of the boy students snickering while most girls were blushing...but looking at Aurona in envy.

Aurona finally could breathe again and walked up to me and held out her hand.

"Would you care to take a walk, Darien? I'd like to speak with you in a more private space." She asked, still giggling slightly.

"Class will start soon..." I said, trying to change the subject.

Someone tapped my shoulder.

"Go ahead, bro, I gotcha; I'll let the teach' know," Samuel said, grinning.

My eyes narrowed, and I muttered 'traitor' at him, making him wink at me before I nodded to Aurona and headed off to a private garden.

Once we arrived, we sat on a marble seat facing the lake.

"Darien. I know you have questions, and I know you want answers. But before we get to those, I have a question, if you don't mind me asking." Aurona said, looking straight out towards the lake.

"Uh, sure..." I said.

"If you could go back...would you? Or would you stay and live this life?" She asked.

I looked at Aurona for a bit, making her turn to look me dead in the eyes.

"What do you mean, Aurona?" I asked, confused.

"I mean, would you want to go back to your world and old life? Or live the life you have now in this world you call a 'stupid Otome game.' and continue to live this life?"
