Skyler's POV
"I had always known Vivianne wasn't a good catch, and I couldn't believe you almost married a woman who didn't even have a little bit of sympathy toward you," Stanley said after Vivianne closed the door with a loud bang, and I half laughed.
"I was a jerk, and I deserve this," I responded.
"No, you aren't, you only made wrong choices and made some mistakes, but you don't deserve this kind of life, Skyler." My brother softly said as he let out a heavy sigh.
"I hate that I couldn't help you right now, but to make you feel better, the sun is up, and it is a beautiful day to go fishing." He added, and I couldn't help but smile as I imagined the sunny day, but my smile faded away as I thought the worst, what if I will not see the sun again?
"Hey, don't look so gloomy, Sky; things will get better; just follow the doctor's order, okay?" He asked, and I didn't answer him.
