Skyler's POV
"Leave me alone, please!" I shouted after the doctor told me I had become blind.
So many things came rushing into my mind after I heard my diagnosis. I got lucky that I didn't fracture my spine; the damage on my right leg was not severe, and I only had an arm sling to support my injured arm.
But the impact of my fall damaged my optical nerve and made me blind, and it felt like I was falling into a deep sleep and I was having a nightmare, and as the effect of my injury sank in, I realized I had it worst.
How can I live my life without seeing the beautiful things around me? How can I play basketball and enjoy everything I work for when I can't see anything?
"Skyler, don't worry; you will get better with the help of neuro-optometric rehabilitation," the doctor said.
"All we have to do is more tests, and then we need to do the operation." The doctor added.
