Everly nodded at him. "I'm freezing." The man put her down on her feet and took off his coat. He wore it over her, fixed her hair, and cupped her cheek in his palms. "You look very beautiful today."
"Do I?" Her smile was a toothy one, which made him laugh. "You're always beautiful." He ruffled her hand and proceeded to turn and give her a piggyback again, but their attention was suddenly grabbed by something else.
"It's…snowing," Everly mumbled with twinkling eyes.
"It is snowing." Valerio covered her face and picked up the snowdrop that had fallen on the tip of her nose. "I thought it was never going to. It's December."
She spread her arms out and spun with a wide beam. "Let's go skating whenever you are free. What do you think?"
"Sure. Whenever you want. But I've never skated before, so you might not enjoy it."
