Lucius instantly went still, unable to utter a word. 

"H-hello," He managed to force out after a short few seconds of silence.

[May I know who I am speaking with?]

Lucius blinked his eyes, realizing how far apart they had always been. She couldn't even recognize his voice.

He stayed silent for a few seconds, taking a moment to think of what to say.

"H-how are you? How are you doing?" He managed to ask.

[Who is this?] This time around, Leia's voice sounded a bit annoyed.

Lucius took continuous, deep breaths and proceeded to answer.

"It's... your father, Lucius."

Silence took over, and Leia went quiet, not uttering a word.

She didn't cut the call, but she wasn't saying anything either. Anyone could tell that she was in a state of shock.
