Once Lance finished customising his second set of six Pokemon, he confirmed his choice and once again saw the 365 day lock on the third set of Pokemon, and this almost confirmed for him that it would continue on like this.
As he could not make any more Pokemon at the moment, he immediately removed all of the items from the new six and lay them out in front of himself. He immediately put the expert belt and muscle band on his body which already had his other equipment which he was using to train. He assumed that items such as these would work for him, as using the EV boosting items had been working.
The expert belt would mean all 'super effective' attacks that he performed would be stronger. He assumed that the term 'super-effective' was more broadly usable for a human that did not have a type, and guessed that any attack in an area which would cause significant damage would be considered 'super-effective'.
The Muscle Band would make all of his physical attacks do more damage which would be very beneficial as he would not be able to use any non-physical attacks as he did not have a quirk relating to such methods of combat.
After this, he took the mostly eaten apple in his hand, and finished the entire thing off. Although it was a risk to use the leftovers like this, if he needed to, he could always get another one with the third set of customisable Pokemon. Lance wanted to get the health recovery as a passive after eating it, but he would not know for sure if it worked until he was injured.
As the lucky egg was less of an actual egg, and more of an item in the shape of an egg, Lance could not try and eat it. Instead, he put it in his pocket and decided to keep it on himself at all times.
The same went for the Eviolite, as Lance just put it in his pocket and experienced the 25% increase in both his Defence and Special Defence as he was technically a single stage evolutionary line.
The final item that he was yet to use was also immediately put to use on The Pokemon who was originally carrying it. Lance summoned his new Eevee into the world and placed the leaf stone in front of it which caused its eyes to light up in joy.
The two foot tall silver fox/cat like Pokemon began to nudge the stone, and eventually a crack appeared on it. This made a large amount of green energy emerge from it and rush into Herb's (the Eevee's) body. He was then enveloped in a flash of light and emerged as a completely new Pokemon.
Herb had become a Leafeon, and he had become just over five feet tall. He had slightly tan fur and dark olive coloured paws with green leaf-like ears and a leaf-like tail. Both of which ascended from lighter green to darker green. On the front of its chest, Herb had a leafy protrusion which was also replicated in smaller quantities around all four of his legs. On his forehead was a question mark shaped leaf which was placed perfectly in the centre. He also had yellowish-brown eyes and a small pink nose.
Lance had chosen to evolve Eevee into a Leafeon, as it was his favourite Eeveelution and he wanted to have one as a companion in the real world. Lance unsummoned Leafeon before going outside to begin training his new Pokemon alongside his original six, and himself of course.
The doubling of the number of Lance's Pokemon did raise some questions from the people working at the orphanage, but this was not too big of a deal and Lance was able to continue his training for another entire year, almost at least.
