Zell stood in the centre of a square. Bruises and the blood of the demons he had slain filled his battered body. He was exhausted, his muscles aching and screaming for rest. But he could not afford to let his guard down, not with the demons still lurking in the shadows.

'Fuck, my body hurts all over… My eyes are dimming… I can feel the darkness intruding on my soul. Did I go too far?'

He stood before the stone fountain, its star-shaped design seeming to mock him with its peacefulness. Around the edges of the square were various closed shops and bars, their wooden tables and parasols appearing out of place in the darkness.
