As Zhong Peng continued to run for a while, he could feel his energy draining away, and his body was starting to feel the effects of exhaustion.

The wound he had accumulated during his escape was now countless, and blood was dripping from it, leaving a trail of red behind him. The pain was excruciating, and he could feel his body weakening with each passing moment.

The qi beasts pursuing him were relentless and showed no signs of slowing down. They were coming at him with great speed, their eyes filled with an insatiable hunger for flesh and blood.

Zhong Peng had killed some of them and injured a few, but they seemed to be replenished with another set of beasts after a while.

Zhong Peng couldn't help but wonder how many of these beasts lived within the cave. Were they an endless horde, or was there a limit to their numbers? He had no way of knowing, but he knew that he had to keep running, or he would be torn apart by their ferocity.
