Aiden had expected to see some big reaction coming from Ryan, but the latter's face was practically a mask of indifference.

"I heard a lot of rumors," Aiden decided to press for more information. "According to what everyone knows, you and he..."

Aiden bit into his lower lip. He did not want to continue. Ryan should understand what he wanted to say, right?

"Aiden, I love you," Ryan grabbed Aiden's shoulders so hard that they might just break under his strong grip. "My feelings for you will never waver. Please trust me."

"Tell me the truth," Aiden's voice trembled from a mix of anxiety, anger, and distrust. "Let me question you just this once. Did you sleep with him in the past?"

"No," Ryan answered while looking right into Aiden's eyes. "I did not."

Aiden suddenly felt so tired. His legs quickly buckled under his weight, causing him to slide to the ground.
